Argosy rear air bag leveling valves.

Hello, I am new to this forum, and to my 1975 Argosy 26ft motorhome. I need to replace the leveling valves and linkage on the rear air bag setup. It is an American Carrier system, and the previous owner removed the linkage, and left the valves open to the elements. They also added a "pump-trol" pressure switch which does nothing but raise the vehicle up and down at all the wrong times LOL!, anyway, are the valves available? or seal kits for repairing them? As I mentioned, I also need the "arms" to connect the valves to the axle. Thanks.

On a 75 this would have been an add on to the leaf spring suspension. My 76 is a leaf setup with shocks and no air at all. If it was retrofitted and is using the bags as the suspension your best bet is going to be a heavy duty truck supply place like fleetpride. They are all over the place. You may have to find some more part numbers, but they are willing to help.

Non of the manufacturers you mention sound familar to me, an I just got done going thru my 78 Argosy Air ride rear suspension.

My '78 Argosy had the same problem with no control arms. You can make some with threaded rod. I removed everything and installed new air bags with air valves on each side of the coach.

No more air pump or control problems.

I have the original argosy book on the rear bags if you want a copy.

Ed- sounds like you did what I need to. My compressor has been dead for a year or more, and I can't replace it right now. I would love to know what you did to your to eliminate it, and how to to the same. thanks

I removed everything and ran the air lines to the outside of the coach. For now, you can install an air valve in the compressor line and use an outside air compressor. Hint:You can also install an air guage to monitor the air pressure at all times. The total cost: <$20.00.
