Number of long limousines put the secondary AC condenser (for the rear of the vehicle) at the rear of the motor typically at a 5-10 degree angle. My Navigator was set up like that and seemed to work fine except for the long AC hoses.

Yes..I've seen this type of installation. My current thinking is to fit the new condenser measuring approx 12" high by 24" width with max depth either at an angle to at the bottom of the engine radiator. Also upgrade the blower to a 3 speed twin wheel heavy duty bus or truck blower that I've found. More details to follow once the brutal Texas summer is over and I can spend time both inside and outside of the engine/dash compartment. I's also like to replace the evaporator but will decide on that once I've figured-out how to fit the replacement blower. I'll report back to the Forum.

FWIW, the limo condenser I've referred to has a sucker fan mounted so as to improve air flow from the engine compartment & facilitate air movement thru the condenser, has the straight blades, so it's really noisy.

I had a '87 Suburban that had rear heat and AC. I have thought that that unit could be retrofitted under a couch.
I saw you removed the Air pump... do you still have it?

Steve, if you can't find the air pumps I might still have the two I removed from the 345.

Thanks Brad. Didn't we figure out yours were electronically controlled?

I thought that was a different part of the system?

OP I was curious if you bought the one that was on copart a month or so ago that was in north or South Carolina? Think it was light hail and if I remember it had a dent on passenger side front.

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes, that would be the one.

Thought it was. I buy heavy truck salvage from copart and always browse the airstream salvage units.
