Check "all" the gaskets. Main door, windows, sewer vent pipes. Also check the wiper blade rubber. The gaskets will keep the weather out.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to our forum.
I would suggest you skim the posts on the Motorhome forums, it will give you some idea of what you could expect. In general, if all systems are "go" at present, you will want to establish a maintenance routine as you would for any motor vehicle- oil/filter changes/ trans check and service as necessary/ cooling system, etc.
Then you will also have the coach systems to maintain as needed, the furnace, a/c,water, and such may need some attention. The body requires washing and waxing to keep the coating up. but your weather my prevent that for awhile.
If you have the records from the p.o. it will help in getting off on the right track, I know you will enjoy your new rig.

Along with what Andy said- hoses, belts and tires. The inside duals are hard to see well, tread is important but so are sidewalls. Hoses and belts usually are not changed until they fail, a quick way to spoil a trip. A good lube routine is also important, underneath these are really trucks and have zerks everywhere. Grease is real cheap compared to parts.

It's a complex beast!
Keep an eye on coach and motor batteries. Check the battery water level often.
Everytime you go for on a trip (short or long) do a walk around your rig. Check every compartment and do a visual on the tires.
Keep the front air bags properly inflated (if so equipped)
Get accustomed to the smell of your hot motor. It will tell you when something is up.
Leave you refer door open, when not in use for extended periods.
Never leave the fresh water pump on when unit is stored.
Never put a full load on a just started generator Let it run for 1-2 minutes.
Remember that your generator will quit running @ 1/4 tank fuel level
Never pull into a gas station with a pilot light on.
Buy a creeper and spend an hour rolling around under your rig. You will be amazed.
Always keep an eye on the road ahead of you. You are taller you think and lower to the ground in the back than you would care to find out.

GOOD TIPS PETER;
These should be printed on a label that motorhome newbies should have to stick on our rigs.
The "watch out for" items should be especially highlighted.
