1985 Argosy MH????

http://adcache.rvtraderonline.com/3/3/2/20865632.htm

This is a 1985 Argosy Motorhome for sale on www.rvtraderonline.com. That year is later than any other Argosy I have on my site. Does that year seem odd to anyone? The paint scheme is also unique (ok, plain).

Arogosy wasn't built after 1979 from everything I have read. I'd say he meant 1975.

I believe there was a change in head lights from round 1976 and eariler, to square 1977. Mine is a 1977 Model.

Based on the headlights and trim, it's got to be a 1977 28'. The 1977 models had the stripe on the side with top and bottom trip on the stripe. The 78 year had the wave line and no double trim. This unit must have been painted a solid white or silver (can't tell from the picture).

bshaw,
your 77 is in beautiful condition. Someone did a tremendous amount of work to the interior with all the ash? woodwork. Nice rig!

You mentioned a new generator. Did you have the BFA 4.0 and what replacement did you choose?

It looks like the 1985 (haaaa! 1977) Argosy has two roof top carriers up there. How on earth would you get stuff in and out of there? Maybe they swiped the gravity boots from Captain Kirk and Spock during a visit to Hollywood! I would think a small trailer would provide more storage and easier access.

Maybe he really wanted people to think it was a GMC motorhome???

I saw the roof lockers and wondered the same thing... how do you get into them??
