1979 28" Airstream Motorhome near Chicago

Ummmm.. to start with, it's a 28 FOOT Moho...

A new acquaintance of ours has this MoHo for sale, and, oddly enough, he has really beefed up the mechanicals, including the suspension. THe upholstery is the worst thing about it, as far as I can see.

It has a rear bath; stand-up shower and twin bunks.

The sliding window next to the driver has been broken, the windshield is intact and has just a litte clouding in the corners.

The unit drives great; the engine is a rebuild and has very low miles, the generator works, the awning is in great shape, although we did not unroll it today.

I have these four pictures and will have more after I get my land camera film developed. Can anyone explaint he paint job to me? The unit does NOT say Argosy!

He is only asking 9k, due to the fact that someone will want to turn this in to a labor of love.

If any one is interested, PM me for further information! This big old girl coudl make someone VERY happy!

RaChelle

I am having trouble posting pics so will keep trying.

1979 was the final year of the Argosy MH's and first year of the Airstream models. They did lots of prototyping back then. I would guess this model was part of the transition between the Argosy and Airstream lines. The galvanized steel front and rear caps (note the rust front and rear) and no-window door are from the Argosy line. You would need to paint the unit since the galvanized caps really won't polish up.
