Your so lucky to have a *new* trailer to work on. When we went to the Silver Trailer Social this past weekend, I noticed that my trailer looks *as nice as these do*.

When we first started we had a lot of work to do. Now that I have done one, like you, I would be able to probably enjoy it more rebuilding another one.

Humm... where could I park it.. ;-)

Greeting Tim`
Nice to hear from you again..
I bet that was a really great outing~
You got lots of nice complements for your unit~.
I'm sure~
Well...You know, I just couldn't resist the urge to do this~!
The family gonna be gone to Africa, again this summer..
So, I figured while I'm alone here in NH..
I could try to rescue this Vintage Airstream..
Here's pictures of the old, and new replacement shore power plug~!
A note:The cost of new plug, 20$
I've really enjoyed it so far...

It might be worth an E-Mail to Florence and Christi in the parts department to see if they are still available. You can find Ace Fogdall RV at:
Ace Fogdall RV, Cedar Falls, Iowa
or the parts department can be reached by e-mail as follows:

parts@acefogdallrv.com
Good luck with your GT!
Kevin,
I did get in contact with Ace Fogdall, and they didn't have the part.
Thanks for the tip anyway..
After checking numerous places, I ended up calling Iowa Boys, and according to their catalog..They have it`!!
So, I'm ordering the complete assembly just to be on the safe side. (If for no other reason, than to have some spare parts.~)
Things are starting to come together~I expect after next week to have a gaucho to sit down on after all.
Now is the time to push on finis the interior paint..Floor gonna have to wait until after next week. No beer for me until then...lol

Thumbs up You asked about..

64 GT
You asked about the shower curtain's hangers in the GT ?
While looking on the internet, found this site that offers insights`!
www.go-rv.com
If you go to page 224, you may find the original curtain hangers.
There's alot of stuff on there as well..
Like the original window operators, and also, the complete kit~!

Good news~

Well, after cleaning out the "wasps nest"~ in the frig roof vent..
I fired up the frig unit, and left it running overnight~
The verdict is in..
Beer is COLD~!!
Spend the morning getting familiar with the working of the stove/oven combo. Scarey..but, I'm thinking this thing might actually work..
It still needs heavy cleaning before I even think of firing it up.
Called POR-15 abt their paint..YIKES~!~ 33$ PER QUART~!~
Was this a bad dream or what??
surfing the internet for parts and ideas~
Work has slowed down slightly..
This is new~patio light works~!~found the sw for it..(tiny sucker, hidden next to the galley's window~)
ciao

Rats! My shower curtain track is more like the curtain track - but with a wider slot. Won't be problem for awhile, as I just disconnected the water lines to the bathroom. Installed a new kitchen facet - going w/ Pex and darn those pipes to the bathroom. They look like they're 1/4" and Lowes doesn't carry 3/8" x 1/4" 3/8" tee connectors. Off to the Pex connection website. I do have leak free service to the kitchen though.

I still need to get into the crawl space to look for the bottom piece to the water heater. If DH hasn't tossed it - I know I have it. I'll try to remember to check tonight...somewhere between the hour of polishing and DD softball game.

I'm glad I didn't find any "toys" in my trailer but it was painted a nice '60s pink. Yikes! It was worse than the green, really.

How was that suitcase secured to the roof?!

64GT,
YIKES~!
I inclined to agree with you about pink~!~I can take this for, "as long as it take to paint...lol
The "suitcase" was held in place by one long screw, so help me~~
If you don't find it, that's okay..I'll get by with what I have by using it as a pattern for another one..I thank you for asking..
I hear you about the water system..That, and the propane, is two last areas left for me to check out..
My left brain just reminded me, I need to drop the rear belly skin for a visual check..Not real sure I want get into that area ..
At least the frigid is working~~!~!

Question go-rv-dot-com

53FC,

I went to go-rv.com and the page was a list of dealers for various products, and a drop-down list to choose my state. When I chose my state, it listed lots of RV dealers in NC and their web sites.

How did you get to "page 224"?

Connie

Greetings Connie,
After doing all of the above, then you'll see a menu at the top of the page.
It's the "second one down from the top, where the business name is listed."..Starting from the left hand side,
Previous Page..Index..Next Page..Page #[___] go..Search[___] go..[Select a Category]
You see that menu now??
This is where you'll see a lilttle entry box for you to enter the page numbers. Then, hit the button "go".
Additionally, you can surf just by changing the numbers like: typing in 223 then "go", or 225 then "go" or 226, etc.
Does this make it any easier for you?
It works~! Have fun looking~
ciao
