Wanted to try

Today was a nice day to try and clean up the dreaded silicone from around the window.
For some reason, the PO thought that the logo was the source of leak and, really went to town sealing all around it on both the front/rear window~
If you compare the first pictures on page one, you get an idea just how much was there before.
Still...
It seems when ppl get their hands on this stuff, they go "HOG" wild..lol
btw, while cleaning off the stripper, I discovered REAL SOURCE FOR the leak~! It was the the middle running light, which wasn't fasten down securely. Upon moving it a bit, I saw a big, gaping hole under it~YUCK...
Looks like we'll have to remove the light and, install a rubber gasket sealer for water-proofing this~Maybe a new light altogether.
You just never knows where the source for a leak will show up~!!
This is the after picture.
The work isn't completed but, Momma Red Bird was unhappy with my pressence..I quietly moved on...lol

Vern,

The sealant removal looks good, but what is going to take that eerie blue color off the skin???

Hey Vern - When I first took over ownership of my baby - the black water tank was being held up by....the toilet. No box, no belly pan. It's a wonder I still had them both when it arrived. And there was nothing wrong with the tank, so I really have know idea why they were both removed and never replaced unless the PO wanted to give the critters easy access?!

No idea on the mystery item, but I do have the stabilizers on the back of mine. Let me know if you still need a picture.

Back...

The weather was awesome~!
What with the crashing waves twinkling,
Sea foams spreading,
Reaching outward on the wet sand..
Not a Sea Gull to be seen..
Odd the power of a angry, mad, rushing storm..
Such was displays of Hurricane Alex..

ciao

Was concerned about you. knew that you were in the vacinity of the hurricane. Glad to know that you enjoyed it. You got home just in time for some (not so) nasty weather around here!

Thanks Barb,
The rain and, the lighting storm added to the excitement`!
While down there, I fixed the vents (ole rubber gaskets) on the A/S.
I was surprised to find not one but two..
Why I didn't see the other one is beyond me..
Anyway, it's good to be back..(I lie well~!!!)
ciao
