Mystery hardware - help 1964!

There are two horizontal channels attached on the curb side and one up high (under the rear window) on the street side of my 64 Globetrotter. I'm also curious if the hinge (see pic) is original. I know the rusting screws are not and I'm quite certain the "threaded hinge pin" is not OEM. Anybody know what the channels on the side might have been for? Maybe a table... who knows. I don't think I got any such attachments from the PO. Also, what steps to make the hinge more acceptable, look right, be right, not rust, etc.???
Thanks in advance.

If it helps any that's a bracket used for temporary shelves. The last pop up we had had one on it - the shelf had a matching bracket on the back that slid over the one you have. Under the shelf was a right angle triangle that folded down and rested against the side of the trailer body for support.

Mystery hardware - help!

Greetings GlobeTrottin!

I can help with the main door hinge. It appears to be original. Some of the factory bucked rivets appear to have been replaced, and the original hinge pinge was not threaded. I have attached a photo of the door-within-a-door on my '64 Overlander that uses the same style hinge. The hinge pinge shouldn't be too difficult to source if the hinge halves haven't been sprung -- Ace Fogdall RV inserted new hinge pins in my Overlander's door several years ago.

Good luck with your '64!

My trailer has a clothes drying rack that fits on that type of a bracket.
