My 1963 Globetrotter Project
Recently purchased a 1963 Globetrotter, paid $3,500 for it.
Looking to share my project photos, as I get it upgraded to Modern Standards.

Removed floor
Vary rotten, due to water damage because it had nothing to cover the larger vent hole in the roof.

Before removing floor
Floor was vary bad, the first owners before the ones I bought it from, had it on a ranch in Washington, lots of hornet/wasp nests, plus was exposed to nature for quite a time, lots of water damage, but overall the rest of it, is in good shape to me.

Depending on how straight the body was and how good the frame was.
All the rest of that stuff doesn't much matter as it will need replaced anyway.

My 1964 Safari Project
Looks similar to my new project. I paid $3,000 and towed it 7 miles home with the 1988 tires on the original split rims. Floor was totally rotted along with the flat part of the belly pan that was sprayed with closed cell foam. Frame was good and straight. I'm having fun and about to paint the frame. I'm leaving the body loosely attached with shims and will install the new 3/4" floor in sections. I cut the bellypan off leaving the curved pieces that were OK and will just install new flat sections. Sorry adding photos really sucks on this software. I can't get it right side up. Using this forum is very frustrating. I think it was designed in 1964 too.

Ya the work has just begun, I have good friend helping me with it, everything will come out, the walls will stay, they are in good shape.
As for the pluming it has been hodge pogged together, all will be replaced with new PVC pipe and new holding tanks.
How did the wiring look on yours?

I was surprised the wiring looked like new. The mice hadn't chewed on the bundle below the floor and the 110v is grounded. I will just add new wiring for the AC and microwave.

My 1963 Globetrotter Project
All six window upgrades are in, and buffing in progress.
The Windows will all get black trim, so far how's it look?
