We did clean it up and re-paint it - it was pretty cruddy cosmetically. We also rebuilt the valve and replaced the gaskets with new ones we made. They don't make replacement parts...but we were able to work with what we had. It now works better than ever since we've owned it.

I agree! We keep coming back to your pics too see what it's supposed to look like. Our toilet bench was cut out was by the PO and all the tank space stuffed with wood. We're slowly pulling it all out to get the underside back to the way it was at least. We'll just have to make the toilet look as good as we can.

True confession: I cut the toilet surround to accept the Nature's Head. The fiberglass had cracked and was a little gross.. truth be told, it was fine, I just feel guilty for cutting it. I do want to replace the existing black tank to use as a gray tank, but that part of the trailer (behind the bellypan under the tank) is uncharted territory. Your pictures are like a map.

Wow. Looking at the details on Maxwell, hot water heater etc, its great to see that you were able to get to old HW heater to work, I'm inspired to try mine- remove it, pressure test it, I imagine the controls can be replaced if necessary.

Thanks

Yep, it's been running strong ever since we've had it - it probably worked before, but we didn't trust it until we fully tested it - as with all the propane appliances. No problems!

Thanks Liz! Rob will give you all the "tools" and one-on-one he can - then it's up to you!

Yes, your trailer should be able to get that shiny too...we'll prove it with a small patch on Saturday - if you're still up for being this year's "demo-trailer". Oh yeah, you'll also need some elbow grease and Advil...oh, and a Jacuzzi doesn't hurt!

There's nothing like a fresh polish job after a long winter...now it's Birdy's turn. But with outings planned for four of the next five weekends, I doubt she will get her touch-up before the Resto Rally ~
