How does stove work- 1964

Hi all,

Everything is original and working.
The last owner has also used the stove/ oven.
But we can not get it running.
Has anyone an user manual of the original stove?

Basicly the issue is that i don't know how to light / start the oven.

Thanks.

Hi Martijn,

If you look at the oven control knob, there should a spot that says "Pilot". Turn the knob to that spot, and push it in. Now gas will flow to the pilot light, which is located at the rear of the main burner. Light the pilot with a match. Not a very convenient place to put it, but I believe all RV ovens are built pretty much the same way. Once the pilot is lit, release the knob and the pilot should stay lit. Then you can adjust the oven knob to the temp you want.

This is a good how to video. I know it's for the newer units but should work the same way. Takes awhile to get it going.

Thanks a lot for your replies.
I think that i know what i did wrong.
I looked in the oven for the pilot to light it.
Probally when i look in the cabin below the oven i will find the pilot to light.

Principle is same as refrigerator. This is working fine.
Once i had trouble with lighting it, the issue was then that the trailer wasn't levelled streight.

Trailer is at storage, so i will try it soon and let you know if the apple pie was tastefull
