Period Door Knob

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has the original Door Knob/Latch. If so can you post pictures of what it looks like?

Mine has a Easyset replacement probably purchased at walmart.

Steve McPheters.

Good morning Steve-

Which one are you looking for, the ones used on the wardrobe doors?

Rivet Entrance Lock

The one on my 67 Trade Wind looks like this:

I have replaced it twice.

A 62 could be different, though. Best of luck.

The one on the door to our 1963 Bambi is just like vswingfield's! Standard vintage, available at some Airstream online vendors, I believe.

It also looks to be the same one as our 62 Bambi.

Rivet Bargman Locks

Hi again Steve,

I donít know if you have already placed a bid or not, but be certain that it is for an Airstream. There are other Bargman locks that are identical except for the length of the bolt. If you buy an ordinary Bargman, it will fit just fine, but the bolt will not extend out of the door. It just hides in the hole.

Youíre probably wondering how I know this. Fortunately I bought it locally from a dealer I did a lot of business with, so return was no problem.

On another topic, this is my 500th post. Rivet Master status at last. Glad it was for a worthwhile cause rather than a gratuitous self-congratulatory post. Celebrate with me.

Best of luck,

Vaughan

500 posts!!! Wow, I hope all of them have been as informative and helpful as the 500th.

The one I have seen on Ebay looks much the same as the link to the picture here. Everything is square. The lock in the door of my FC is cylindrical. I haven't taken it out of the door. Will the Bargman cover a 2 1/8" bore?
