Newbie Questions -- Bambi Water System -- any help is appreciated!

I am considering getting a small trailer, but am very new to the world of Airstreams. I am thinking of trying to find a Bambi or Bambi II. Does anyone know what the water system is like in these smaller trailer models? Is there a water tank? If so, what is a typical capacity for the fresh water tank? Do Bambis have plumbing for a kitchen sink unit? What sort of water pressure does the kitchen sink provide? Do you have to install a pump to get strong water pressure? Do these trailers come outfitted with a water intake system so that you can pump water in from an outside source, in? Also, on a side note, do all Bambi's have electrical hookups, so that you can hookup to a nearby power source? I know that these are all very basic questions, but as I said, I am very new to the Airstream world. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

I'll try to answer your questions, but asking about Bambi/Bambi II covers a lot of territory. You didn't specify vintage vs. modern.

In recent years a Bambi could be a 16' or 19'. Both have electrical and mechanical systems. Water pumps are built in, and they have a complete plumbing system with both bathroom and kitchen sinks. The 16 has a wet bath and a combo gray/black tank. The 19 has a dry bath with separate gray and black tanks. Both have a fresh water tanks. All tanks in the Bambis are in the 20 gallon range.

When you are talking vintage, it becomes a little more complicated. It depends on what Bambi era you are talking about.
