Bambi II Restoration Project

After having arrived at 55 years of age, I thought it was time to end my tent camping days and move on to trailer camping. I had been looking for a small trailer and was lucky to find a Bambi II this week. The trailer had not moved in 20 years!

Purchased the trailer on Wednesday, had it measured for a new axle, installed new tires, and had a hub maintenance performed on Thursday, went camping on Friday. Had a great weekend and I'm ready to begin the restoration process. I'll post pictures as we go...

I was amazed to find that all of the interior and exterior lights still worked! Refridgerator works great too. Haven't used the water or propane systems yet.

Unit was built in California and has serial number 41S1014.

Sold on Route 66

Here is one of the two dealers plates that are riveted to the trailer. It appears to have been sold by a dealer on historic Route 66 in Oklahoma City.
