Bambi II on eBay

There is a Bambi II on eBay. It looks quite nice but the seller says it is all original...it has a front dinette. Did Bambi II's come with a front dinette? I have seen quite a few modified as such, but did Airstream ever make them this way?

1964 Airstream Bambi II - Vintage Camper - WOW Classic! : eBay Motors (item 260598336957 end time May-13-10 17:00:00 PDT)

I plan on going this route when we redo the interior. Some dimensions would be nice, but I am also happy to wing it. Looks like the shelf behind what is normally the front sofa was incorporated, and I plan to do the same.

Thank you- I did see those pictures in the past. I wonder if any of them are as original, however? Two of them clearly show a front sofa before restoration...dinette after.

Either way- This is how I plan to go.

It might just be the angle of the picture taken, but the tongue looks as if it is longer than standard. Any opinions on this?

I agree- it does look very long! I am thinking it is the angle of the photo, though. It is a nice trailer!

I've seen '64 trailers from CA vs OH that had different tongues...I believe CA was wider and and shorter while OH's are narrower & longer.

Also, this one may be extended more than normal to accommodate the spare tire. But I agree, I think it's mostly the camera angle.

If you look at the front end cap length and the tongue length in the first picture they are the same length. So what does that mean? well the front end cap is 3 feet and the tongue length is 3 feet! So the tongue is correct at 3 feet...
