Bambi II actual weight
Has any 1964 Bambi II owner actually weighed his/her trailer? We're hearing that Airstream was way off in their published weight on some of those '60s trailers. For instance a friends '65 Caravelle actually weighs some 2,700 pounds versus a published weight of about 2,200 pounds.

We're replacing the original axle on our BII and are thinking 3,500 pounder to be safe.
