Glad to hear that you got your Bambi back. About every other year or two there is a theft of a Bambi, or other size on occasion, and I've yet to read where the owner got it back. Again, glad to read about the happy ending being in site.

I'm so glad you found it! I agree the guy that bought it should have seen the red flags when the seller asked for only $200, and no title! Anybody can write a bill of sale...

Please let us know how it looks after you get it back. I'm hoping the buyer is a master craftsman and the work he did is exactly what you would have wanted.

You are most welcome for the photo help Patrice. I really happy for you that you got your beloved Bambi back. Get a heavy hitch lock on that thing, the heavier - the better. If my Tradewind is off my hitch, the hitch lock is on. Here at home, in the campground, at the shop and at rallies. Without fail.

your all to cool

wow what a day what a tale.....got ms. bambi back tonight met the state police watched my title be verified against the serial number shower registration and photo of my dent which forever more will be a beauty mark....I remeber reading about someone who got their trailer back from being stolen and they talked about the smooth ride home like the trailer knew...Tonight I felt that same thing we made every green light... and she bobbed and sailed down the road. Robert the purchaser only redid very little and his re-dos are very perfect he has great cabinet maker skills...I kissed her alluminum......with my bear lips...and bought a hitch lock.....this summer I will get her extra jazzy gives you a whole new twist on something you have owned for 10 years....

I love all of you this is a great group and what a neat way to test the quality of airstream owners and trailer lovers everywhere.....I am joining the international club and getting my giel some numbers that was always on my someday list...

I know it's a trailer not a human not life and death but now more that ever I am in awe and love with the soul I feel from my airstream..

Again I say thank you and many blessing to all of you I will post photos over time and stay on this awsome group!
BE well and happy travels
Patrice

Hi, glad to hear you got your trailer back and that it wasn't destroyed. Time for a good lock and hope this never happens again.

I hope you gave him a reward!

Sounds like a $200 + reward would make this a good day for all involved! Hope you you took care of the guy.

Question ?

Yup I too wonder if the poor honest buyer was reimbursed his $200.

What became of the case?

And what has become of Patrice (no word since July-2010)
