Sturdy canopy that fits Caravel??

First, thanks to all that responded to question about a floor template! Great advice!

Our attempt to fit the Caravel under our barn extension has failed. We dug the soil out to increase height tolerance, but good sense and drainage problems prevailed.

So now we are looking for a sturdy canopy that fits our 8'Wx8'11"Hx17'L Caravel. Do you have a recommendation?? It would need to have a cover for all sides as well.

Hi guys! I just did this with my Caravel. You can se the details in this link

Putting my trailer Undercover

I'm pretty happy with it now. Since you are close by you are welcome to come by and have a look at it before you tackle the same job yourself. I got the Canopy at Fred Meyers, but I was told by a guy in Seattle with a Caravel that his fit perfectly under a canopy from Costco, so that one might be a bit taller. Mine was just too tight without lifting it up.

It's always nice to see another vintage caravel join the forum. That way if I have any questions there is a bigger group to pull from. Will probably never get together to compare units since I'm on the other side of the country. I've been following stephaine's cover project because I would like to put mine undercover too. Will probably go with something portable, don't need to have a perm structure, just want to keep dust, dirt, rain and birds off of it.

Tony&Linda, I work for a company from Portland been out there dozens of times, beautiful area. If I ever move from this area thats where I'll head. Could have moved in '85 but at the time wife didn't want to. Now kids are all here and 2 new grandchildren so it may never happen. Is your Caravel in nice shape, I'll have to check your photo album. PS nice vintage tow vehicle.

Stephanie, I like your interior, nice album

We just got our 1965 Caravel. I'm here in NC but will be bringing the Caravel to central NY in July timeframe, maybe in June too. Where are you located?

I'm located real close to where I-80 and I-81 intersect in PA. Are you planning a vacation to NY or business taking you there? How is the condition of your Caravel? The exterior on mine is really nice, interior was pretty abused, we decided it would be easier to gut and start over. Gutting was easy, I just don't seem to have the time to get it all back together. Have a safe trip.
