Magic Chef 160 Parts

While working the pilot light/thermostat/igniter I broke the pilot threaded nipple off the assembly. I was fixing/shortening the darn broken aluminum tube and salvaging the tiny brass compression ring and overtightened the connector when the threaded part of the iron pilot/thermostat/igniter broke off.

A Google for "Magic Chef 160" doesn't really reveal anything.

Where do I find one of these?

I have the same problem...could use the entire assembly. Here is a photo of what's needed. Hope someone has suggestions...I've tried everywhere.

Most RV sales have them. Check Camper's World. I had to replace one and it wasn't that expensive .

O.k. I found that tiny aluminum tubing on ebay for $15, and a typical plain standing pilot light assembly too. I removed the original pilot burner from the old 2-stage assembly and drilled out and tapped the burner's hole for a screw. I then took the new standing pilot assembly and removed the thermocouple and cut the excessive bracket off and mounted the new pilot to the old 2-stage pilot assembly with the screw. I then took the female compression fitting from the new aluminum tubing and cut off the male fitting from the new pilot tubing and replaced it with the female compression fitting. Viola, a new pilot light mounted to the old 2-stage combo pilot assembly and it works!

What did you use as search words on ebay to find the tubing?

As it turned out, I only used the compression fitting, and the tubing remains in the bag.
