I am almost certain that I seen the gasket for sale somewhere but now I cant find it....it is not on VTS or Airstream Supply...anyone know where I can get it?
Try www.vintagetrailergaskets.com. The owner was very helpful when I was looking for gaskets for our 55. Vintage Trailer Gaskets in Walnut, Ca. Good luck, Bubba
Good call Bubba....I have already used their products and certainly admire their attention to detail, rather than "an excellent alternative"...I had already checked with them before posting and was surprised it was not there....I went with a generic silicone D-seal and it seems to fit pretty well

The one VTS advertised for the 1965Caravel is too small and won't seal. I saw your post on the "D" seal. Did it make the door difficult to close and did you get it from vintage trailer gaskets?
Thanks, Chris

you are correct....the D seal is to small...I purchased some similar D seal buit larger and made from silicone.....I used contact cement to make a good adhesion....its white and works well
