Try www.vintagetrailergaskets.com. The owner was very helpful when I was looking for gaskets for our 55. Vintage Trailer Gaskets in Walnut, Ca. Good luck, Bubba

Vintage gaskets

Good call Bubba....I have already used their products and certainly admire their attention to detail, rather than "an excellent alternative"...I had already checked with them before posting and was surprised it was not there....I went with a generic silicone D-seal and it seems to fit pretty well

The one VTS advertised for the 1965 Caravel is too small and won't seal. I saw your post on the "D" seal. Did it make the door difficult to close and did you get it from vintage trailer gaskets?
Thanks, Chris

Dseal

you are correct....the D seal is to small...I purchased some similar D seal buit larger and made from silicone.....I used contact cement to make a good adhesion....its white and works well
