Belly Pan Replacement

Hi,

Just came back from our 10 day tour of Ontario, Canada.
Love the trip. Actually saw another vintage Airstream - first one I've seen (being used) in my travels up here. THe whole trip has got me primed to finish up my rebuild of the trailer (I previously had replaced the rear frame and floor). Last task is to replace the belly pan. I kept the old one as for a template - it is far to corroded to reuse.

My question, what is a good replacement material and where can I get it in Canada if possible.

A couple of pics of the trip.

thanks

Julison

Belly Pan

What a great looking trailer! I just bought a 1962 Overlander - 26'. I'm fairly certain that the belly pan is the same gauge and grade of aluminum as the rest of the trailer which is aircraft grade. I am new to this so I apologize if I'm wrong. Good luck.

Any alloy of aluminum will work for the belly pan. You don't need to spring for the cost of the .032 2024-T3 that the trailer is skinned with. Any of the following alloys will be fine

6061
5052
3003
