PC - is that a picture of the electrical "as shipped" on D/CB model or after you cleaned up the wiring and component positions? Pat

Also. The inverter has a big plastic square connector. It doesn't really look like there's a standard automotive lug at the end of the cable

The inverter 'in' wire is just a stripped cable end into that block...there is a screw fitting (I think just a flat slotted screw) to tighten it down. Just unscrew and slide the wire out to remove it. Be careful on reinstallation, I had a couple random strands bend backward and nearly contact the pos cable next door. Make sure you get all the wire back in the socket.

If you have enough slack depending on shunt location, indeed you are correct. You are just interrupting both inbound neg cables and attaching to battery side of shunt, then attaching remaining two on load side. 4 ring connectors as you said. I had my install on the brain, where I was changing cable sizes, moving my inverter, adding switch, etc.

Pat that is the virgin wiring setup on my 23D before I started cutting and splicing. It is streetside under dinette bench on 23D. Probably similar layout to 23FB that is on curbside. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how neat it was, other than the ridiculous length of cable run to the inverter, which I reduced by probably half. They could have done that even leaving it on the wall but flipping it 180 degrees. I moved it onto the floor to make room for my mounting panel for solar charger and fuse.

Here is another pic of the factory setup, followed by a 'after' pic that is near end of project (conversion to 6V batts with 2 ga from battery box (delete separate inverter and house cables), Victron BMV-712 install, and 400 W solar install). I also moved inverter from the wall to the floor, shortening up cable run to it, added a couple switches, etc, that are installed on the back wall of a storage compartment under the dinette. This is before I tied/taped the wiring mess back up a bit neater. But still not nearly as 'neat' looking as others have done
Leedav, for what it's worth, though there were access panels in the dinette bench seat, like the one you have under your bed, I removed the table and dinette to do the work...just not enough room and access otherwise.

PD4655 Wildkat and the Victron should arrive today. I couldn't find any crimper or lugs here in town. Amazon tomorrow. Converter might get done today.

Big Box stores here were useless for lugs. I had to hit a couple of auto parts stores and though even their selection was lacking, I was able to get what I needed. (Proper #4 and #6 copper automotive ring connectors in appropriate ring size.)
I'm late to to the convo here so debrief me...what is the reason for the PD4655 Wildcat vs the PD4655 converter/charger unit? Is it something to do with what your OEM unit is, and this is the direct fit replacement for it, where as the PD4655 wouldn't fit?
Coincidentally I just put it a PD4655 for a buddy in his 2008 Ocean Breeze Safari last night. Assuming it's the same kind of thing with the Wildcat, pretty easy to switch it all out.

Yeah too lazy to change the fuse board and no real need to do it. I'll use the pendant.

Oh. And the change is because the WFCO doesn't go into bulk mode (it's famous for that) and I want to control the charge time as much as possible, because DW hates the genny and does not want to pop for solar at this time.

Is there any reason to run the B1 wire outside to the battery vs. finding a hot wire under the bed?Click image for larger version

The always-on relay strip likely has a contact point that would work. Pat

With the panel at 12.1, I hooked up the shore power and got a resounding 13.4 from the WFCO. The PD didn't arrive so Cecil goes back to the yard until Monday. By then I'll have the crimper and the lugs too.

Aren't you using the duplex wire that includes power and temp sensor? (A couple different wires were included in your kit). Look at the next diagram below the illustration you're looking at on the instructions...the one that's says 'configured for battery temperature monitoring'. It has to go out to the battery for the temp sensing, and picks up power as well. There is no getting around running the wire to the battery if you want temp sensing.

No temp sensor in the box. There is an order number on the diagram.

How long was the WFCO on? Even the PD sometimes takes a bit to figure out what's going on before it switches to Bulk 14.x mode. That's why it is nice to have the override button as you noted, especially on generator power when you might have limited time to charge and don't want to waste minutes (or more) waiting for it to automatically switch over.

It's been on 20m now. Still 13.4 although the turboprop imitation has stopped. Temp sensor is $20. Dammit I've been reading this stuff until my eyes are falling out and I missed that.

I'll go with off. We generally camp 2-4 days every week or two.

Oh sorry I thought you were using the temp sensor option. My bad, that is actually so that the Victron can talk to a Victron Solar Charge controller and adjust for temperature.

Yes in your case, just wire it to the positive Bus if you want the monitor OFF when trailer is in store mode. Or to the always hot side of the use/store solenoid if you want the monitor 'Always On'...which might be useful when in 'Store' mode to see what the phantom draws are. This is the same spot the propane detector is wired to. Look for that small wire with the inline fuse and see where it's hooked up. Mine was on the right side of the solenoid. Or was it the left? Yours might be different!

Thinking I might just put the victron here on the pedestal. We're outside anyway when the generator is running and it has Bluetooth. Also, what is this thing in the speaker enclosure?Click image for larger version
