This is not really a reply but a revisit of a covered topic. I have a 2010 Flying Cloud 23 FB. I need to replace the tires and am interested in going to 15 inch wheels and tires. My wheels have 5 studs. Can someone who has done this tell me what I need to get. I was thinking of perhaps checking with Tire Rack for prices. Thanks, Cameron

Thanks Rob. I remembered that you had done this, but wasn’t sure if it was in the 23CB thread or separate. I was worrying last night that running it like this for a week was probably not a good idea. Hopefully water isn’t working it’s way inside of anything. It’s just going to have to wait. The humidity here is unbelievable (I guess it should be humid we are 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean) the water is pouring off the roof when the AC is running. Which was non stop yesterday. It wasn’t supposed to be in the 90s here in late September.

My preferred source would be eTrailer, then Discount Tires (in my area is a good store) and certainly Tire Rack.

The wheels are 5 on 4-1/2" centers. 6" wide with 0 offset. These can be found in 14 and 15". The factory wheels are Sendel T02 or T03. But, you can get other wheels that fit, so it depends on what you are going for.

My 2013 came with new 14" GYEs, but when the time comes I am switching to 15", and haven't decided to go Michelin, Goodyear, or some other brand. I am liking these GYEs.

If you ask 10 people about this you could get 10 different answers. But here is a thread that covers it pretty well.

From a prior post of mine

The curb side wheel well on our 2015 23D International Serenity had more sheet metal in front of the 14" tire than the street side (another manufacturing defect) wheel well.

Going from the stock GYM ST215/75R14C tires with a diameter of 26.7" to the Michelin LTX (P) 235/75R15 XL tires (mounted on SenDel T03-56445T wheels) with a diameter of 28.9" meant these tires were about 1.1" larger in diameter. We trimmed the front edge of the curb side wheel opening to have the same dimension of skin behind the vertical plastic wheel well as the street side and the tire fits fine.

We are converting from the Dill1506-453 TPMS system (due to age of the batteries) to the Tuson TPMS system with a color display that is actually readable. We also installed Centramatic 200-221 standard part wheel balancers and McGard 24138 Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Locks and McGard 64010 Chrome Bulge Cone Seat Style Lug Nuts (1/2" - 20 Thread Size).

Note that the larger tire diameter necessitated building a brand new spare tire carrier. We also upograded to 10" auto adjust brakes.

The trailing arm suspension Airstream uses means that the wheels travel up and back when a bump is hit.

Also, this tire brought the 23D frame to the same elevation as our 2013 25FB International Serenity that was traded in on our Classic. The 25FB had a Hensley Arrow hitch that we reused on the 23D.

I agree with Clint. eTrailer was where we bought the wheels. We ended up getting the exact same style wheel as the factory 14s, but in a 15”. I went to auto tire near me in MO for tires. They matched the Tire Rack prices, and did the mounting and balancing. I had to mount the tires and wheels on to our 23FB myself. That was easy with a ramp. Sold the old tires and wheels on Craigslist. I’m very happy with the GY Endurance tires so far.

Well took the AS to the dealer for a new rear camera. Old one full of water. After taking the old camera bracket off and lots of pulling on the wire and probing the mechanic finally pulled/ broke the wires.
Now to find power he removed the center and passenger side running lights above the camera. Finally got 5 inches of wire out and spliced in the new camera wiring harness.
Then with lots of sealent put it all back together. Only took 2 hours.
Now I covered it with a plastic baggie and taped it leaving the bottom open. This spring I'm going to make a cover/schroud out of aluminum to prevent further moisture problems. The dealer said he does about 3 cameras a month.

Does anyone else have my problem?

The 3 white screws holding the overhead bins above the stove to the wall beside the microwave keep coming unscrewed, and falling out.

AND

The 3 white screws holding the overhead bins above the dinette to the wall of the clothes closet keep coming unscrewed, and falling out.

The same 3 white screws in both locations.

Any solutions?

(After driving 60 miles, I have to tighten them all. One of them is already out about 3/16" in that short a drive.)

AND

I would try using either lock tite or carefully use JB weld on the screw tip to lock it in place

Let me know if you find the drain in the A/C. My front A/C has never drained down the tube. I have looked in the A/C, but have not located the drain. Have tried trimmer line on a drill to clear the tube, but t seems to run into an obstruction.

I have a 23FR 2017 trailer with a Samsung TV. I would like to upgrade the TV to a smart TV but want to use the existing TV Mount. Any recommendations on a model that will mount to the existing wall mount?

We replaced the Samsung 22" with a Vizio 24" D24F-F1, $130. Used the existing bracket. Went with this one because 1) it was the widest that would fit without aisle intrusion, and 2) it had analog sound out via headphone jack that we could connect to the overhead speakers/Sony head unit via RCA cable.

Hi we are in the market for a 23CB. Hopefully 2017-2019 range. My question is that I have read that these units although they tow beautifully can bottom out on various things. We are not looking to off road with the unit but as you know campsites can vary considerably. So my question is would it be wise to upgrade the tires to a larger size or have it lifted? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

The late model comes with 15" wheels. The 16" will not fit. At least, no one has reported they have found a way to fit them.

There is a small difference in size between GYEs and Michelins, but not enough to make a significant difference - 225s vs 235s.

If you need more clearance, a lift is the answer. However, if no off road travel is expected, you should not have a problem. Make an effort to avoid deep chuck holes, take steep driveway transitions at an angle and do not drive off uneven shoulder surfaces or over curbs. Pat

Edit - in camp sites, do not back over tire stops without checking for clearance and take care if the pad is higher than the approach drive surface (only seen it one time). Note - the CB folks can give you a better report as ours is an FB. Reference the 23D forum.
