It can't hurt and they are designed for continuous use... boondocking you would want to save every Ah you can... 0.42 amp each would be 10Ah a day or 20Ah for two, continuous. I need to figure out what the converter and thermostat use (parasite load) when fans are off.

Always on is ok. That’s what the Bambi did essentially. Once I took out the factory noisemaker and put in a Noctua it was all good. I’ll collect all the bits over the next week as I decide the approach.

Wife and her friend are doing a Bike and Barge in Idaho starting the 7th for about a week. I’ll be the land barge driver and camp b**ch. need to either finish by then or not start until after.

Found the thermostat right on the side of the fan. First step, replace it since the fan didn't come on yesterday. 115/125F replacement should arrive tomorrow. I had an extra one from the Bambi, it was 50 degrees F!

One more thing. Wolfwhistle.. the supply side to the fan thermostat is regulated to 12v by the refrigerator control circuit board, it seems.

L, oh. From memory. You see the large plug. I think those are the 2 wires you want. One of the three isn’t used. Don’t know it’s purpose. The center is 12v +. The other ground. I cut off the small plug. LEDs are on when the fan is on, not independent. The AS wire color is red + and yellow (-).

Yes I was talking about the fan. I just got them today and with no color code WTF I read that its +12vdc -12vdc And a light for the fan. I'll experiment to see. Thought you might remember but not a problem. Working with low voltage is easy but without colors ???

Thanks to both for the info John

I eliminate the USE / STORE panel. Covered with a piece of Laminate that was salvaged. I’m making an addendum for future owner or me if I forget (ha) how to manage the disconnect switches beside bed. Thus how to store or use. I can cut all power, have converter without charging battery, or charge via converter, or charge via solar, or charge with both. Inverter can also be disconnected from battery power. On DC and AC sides. I think I showed how I used a 50 amp panel to serve as main (30a) and subpanel (30a) via auto transfer switch. Here it is if I only thought I did. Notice the remote fob isn’t used with LFP.

Yep. There is a dot code. But with a computer it’s plug and play.

And done. Nothing crazy. Replaced the factory noisemaker with a Noctua. Had to grind down the bracket a little bit because the new fan is thinner. Replaced the thermostat with one that is working at a normal temperature and we are good to goClick image for larger version

And I was wrong about the wire to the thermostat. Yes it was at +12.0 and yes it was from the control board, but it is an input and wouldn't be appropriate to drive the fancy thermostat. The mechanical thermostat shorts it to ground, which means it's just a logic input.

Kittens

We just got two kittens and they discovered the hole in the bathroom next to the toilet. Has anyone blocked this space?

Not sure if it's your hole, but the one in front of the riser close to the floor holds a 4 pack of TP. Pat

We got a white quilted king-size coverlet and after cutting in half, sewed it to fit the new twins. Looks good for not a lot of money, IMO.
