It does not end, but it does slow down.

Always found that most lifestyles cost the same for all - everything you can afford.

Staying off of this site will save you some money.. There's a lot of good ideas floating around, but they are not free. Some aren't too expensive though.

Amen to that! Far too many great ideas for improvements come off this site! It's very hard to resist a good idea.

Speaking of good ideas, and spending money. It looks like we are going to get a trip in late this summer. (Lovely wife had hip replacement surgery a few days ago)
Her surgeon says she should be good to go by Sept.
So, I am going to go ahead and get the Goodyear Endurance ST tires mounted.
I've already purchased the 15" wheels from ETrailer. The question is, which GYE 15" tires to get, load range D or E? Which ones have you all mounted, if anyone has switched to 15" GYE? Or, which ones are coming on the brand new 23 FCs?
Thanks,
Jeff

Great news that you will be getting back on the road again! I assume you know about this recent GYE thread.

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f438...ce-170015.html

I seem to recall the GYE E vs. D issue being discussed quite a bit in the older threads as well.

Cheers,

Peter

The spending tends to stop only when the credit card is maxed out.

Yep, I had been following that one too. Haha! Lots of info around if you want to check on certain things, like tires, hitches, and tow vehicles. I'll hopefully be at my trailer soon, and see what weight rating and ply rating GYM is on it now. Although they are 14s, and I'm going to 15s.

23 FB shower dimensions?

I'm wondering if anyone here knows the shower dimensions (length x width) in the 23 FB International Serenity. The bathroom looks great in the floorplan, but Airstream doesn't seem to provide these dimensions on the website. Thanks in advance for any info. My husband and I are researching what would be the best model for us and this is a strong contender.

You asked for length (I assume you want height that is 70" max. If you are tall you might have to sit down. Depth is 24" to 28" max. Width is 25" to the seat 37" to the walll. Mine in a 2016 Intl serenety 23 fb.

Hope this helps Dave

Thank you Dave! I really appreciate the information. That is an amazing amount of space. I'd call it perfect if only it had the tankless water heater....!

At 6'4", I thought it would be campground only showers. Turned out to be wrong. It's quite functional and preferable to hauling shower stuff across the park. The 23FB bathroom space definitely is preferable to the layouts in most units. You give up a pano window and some floor space, but if you are private in your lifestyle it is certainly worth considering. For those with a need for more space, look at the 33FB. Pat

That is an upgrade you can do. Make it your own and then tell us how you did it. Pat

I think your shower is very similar to our FC20, which works for us, although we are of more average height. If Pat is happy with it at 6' 4" that says a lot!

I have a question about the awning package option for the 23FB.

I'm pretty convinced that we should order factory installed awning package.
(oh, btw....we'd decided on the 20FB, but got cold feet about the single axle)
Husband thinks that, since there are only a few windows in the rear and side, that we won't need the awning package.

Comments?

Also, we want to order a 2018, and are negotiating with dealer. Trying to get 15% off MSRP. Fingers crossed.

Get the awning if you live or camp in any type of hot weather. It makes a huge difference keeping sun off the trailer. I was questioning it, and was talked into it by folks in this forum. It really does help.

Also. You may be able to get 20%. Call multiple dealers and get price from each.

I live in Colorado and a dealer in NJ had the best price, 20% off. I called the local dealer and told them the sale was theirs if they matched the price. They did. So I got the price I wanted at the local dealer.

Good luck!

Get the awning package. Makes the trailer a better unit for heat for sure. Trust me I know! I added my awnings this season. Man what a difference in a good way

We specifically looked for a 2015 23D International Serenity with factory installed awning package (street side and rear), convection microwave and it came with an inverter which we threw away while doing a major solar panel, lithium battery and rewiring all outlets to be on the Magnum MSH-3012 inverter/charger so all outlets are hot when running on battery power.

Here in Arizona, the awning package enables the refrigerator compartment to be cooler and the A/C does a better job of keeping the coach cool.

The "AquaGo comfort" by Truma is an instant on propane fueled water heater with a slightly smaller form factor than the stock 6 gallon Dometic. We have this model in both our 2014 31' Classic and the 2015 23D. The heater can keep itself from freezing when boon docking with this model.

https://www.truma.com/us/en/water-systems/aquago.php

We made a custom access door by covering it with Airstream skin aluminum and special silver paint for the corlon plastic frame.

Just curious. We've been very happy with the water heater in our 23FB. I haven't read about the tankless, so I'm not that familiar with it. What's the advantage? To be honest, I've always liked the extra six gallons of fresh water when boondocking. We shut it off at night, and when we leave camp. Is it the propane usage? Noise?
Thx
(Also 6'5" and the shower works for me. The lovely wife definitely prefers this bath to our previous smaller bath we had in the Bambi.)
