Yep I saw the same thing. With all the cars pulling Airstream’s up and down the RD I think this is a design flaw for Airstream with an easy fix.
I bet with the volume of these Airstream buys they could “tell” the manufacture to make the change and that they were not going to pay a penny more for them. And they would do it. Heck some mom and pop machine shop would love to have the work I’m sure

Good morning... Here's a question for Troutboy...
Rich, our youngest son is moving to your general area (Centennial), and while driving through Colorado Springs yesterday, they were hammered by that awful hailstorm. Apparently severe damage to his "show car" Mustang (which was on an open trailer) and the same damage to his wife's brand new, only-days-old Jeep. Of course, he is absolutely crushed (hey, he's a car guy!), and we are heartbroken for him. So, my question is, do you know a first-rate, super high quality auto body company in the area? Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
Rob

Hail Damage
Sorry to here about the hail damage to your son and his wife’s vehicles. I know an excellent paintless dent repair technician that has removed dents from my vehicles and also my Airstream Bambi. He is a true master at his craft. He lives in Farmington, New Mexico but comes to Durango to work for local dealers. I know it is a long way from Denver but might be worth having him take a look at pictures of the damage. He does insurance work as well. I saw pictures on the news and some of the cars were damaged beyond repair IMO.
You can pm me if you would like his contact information.

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned in this thread already but I’d like to give a shout-out to the folks at AB Lifestyles for making fantastic custom bedsheets that fit the odd shaped mattress in my 23D(CB). I have 2 sets of their Road Ready sheets and a new set of their Tuscan Traveler sheets — a nicer quality but they do need some ironing to look good. These sheets are head and shoulders over the pitiful sheets I got from the Airstream Store. Those sheets included a top sheet that was way too short and a bottom sheet that did not fig snugly at all. The Polartec blanket from AB Lifestyles is great, too. I has been customized at the bottom to have elastic to keep it in place and a dart/seam to fit the 10” radius curve.

Headed home from Key West. Great trip
Blue Water Key was a Loloho recommendation and is a awesome place. Min length is 24’, but we called and had no problems getting in with our 23D

Super news about your trip to the Keys. Sounds like the campground was awesome. Good that the weather cooperated. Always good to see our better half’s with big smiles.
Next Thursday, for our 1st long adventure, we are headed south to stay at Fort Wilderness for some Mouse time with the grandkids. Looking to land in the 100 Loop
1st overnight will be the Carolina Crosswinds in VA and the 2nd will be the Coastal GA park in Brunswick.
Should be lots of fun for all!!

Bruce !
So, I read your post while wearing my sacred Fort Wilderness t-shirt... Love that place. Here's wishing you a magical time, indeed.
Ronnie !
What a couple of great photos... I've always wanted to get down to The Keys... maybe someday.
So, we're all snuggled up in our spot here at Blue Spruce about 25 miles out of Durango, Colorado... great weather (so far) and really enjoying being a total slug.

Loop 100 is awesome 200 is not bad either. You guys will have a great time. If you selected a “preferred” site you will be in one of those loops.

Ronnie,
Happy Sunday! Yes, I asked for the 100 loop based on past experiences of our fellow Streamers, including yourself.
Stopping by dealer on way down to Disney to get my Atwood hw heater to work on propane (2nd circuit board replacement), even though I will be on shore power in Disney. I still want all systems go!
We will be boondocking (1st time) in the Adirondacks just before Columbus Day so I’m sure we will need some heat.
The adventure continues...

GFCI on 2018 23cb
Does anyone know where the GFCI switch is on the 2018 Signature 23cb? Our refrigerator is no longer working after only 3 trips and 6 nights on the road. We’ve checked fuses and tried to use propane, but no luck. So, we’re hoping we just need to reset the GFCI switch, which we can’t find!
Thanks for any help.

Mine on my 2014 is the bath sink plug. It is a GFCI plug.
If 120 volt power is off it should still work on propane. Are the lights on the fridge panel working?

The 23D thread
Fridge may also need 12 volt DC power to work correctly on AC power or Propane. Mine does...

Appears that the refrigerator needs 12 volt for any power source, so I guess I’ll search some more for the GFCI switch. Maybe it’ll be located before the service appointment in a couple weeks. The lights are all dark on the unit.

Having a couple issues.....
First issue is with our front fantastic fan. It has a mind of its own, and keeps closing at night.
It’s always just the front one, always happens at night after we go to sleep, and no, it’s not raining out!
Second issue is with the a/c. Sometimes, like today, I’ll set the a/c at about 77 so that it will turn on in the afternoon if/when it gets hot out (and we plan to be away from trailer). This morning, inside temp was 71. I set a/c to 77. And the darn thing turns on and won’t turn off. Makes no sense!!
Otherwise, as always, life in our Airstream is great! Currently in Salida, CO.

We have a 2018 FC 23 CB. Our fantastic fans often, but not always turn off at night, even when not raining. I have attributed this to moisture from dew as most times it has been on nights that were quite humid, even some with fog. Could that be the cause? Does anyone know how the rain sensor works, and is it sensitive to condensation as well as precipitation?
With respect to the A/C. On our walk through with the dealer, they suggested just leaving it in ‘auto’ mode. One day I did exactly what you did, set the A/C on 77 in the morning when the inside temp was 71-72 and was surprised when it came on. I eventually realized it was heating because it was in auto mode. Switched it to ‘cool’ and it has worked as expected since.

Uncle Bert is right. Probably Dew on the moisture sensor and if the thermostat is set to auto the fan will cycle.
