The rats nest of wires.

When I did the solar upgrade, link in my post above, part of it was rewiring and cleaning up the nest from the factory. They leave a ton of extra wire and cram it all in there. In addition, don't be shocked if you look in there and find all kinds of scraps, garbage, and dust. They don't clean anything up.

Before shots of my nest:

Here is the after shot once I cleaned it all up. Note, the bigger black box is the connector box for the trailer lights and brakes to the umbilicals cord to the TV, or 7-way plug.

I know what all the wires do now, so if you need help, let me know.

Nope, but we did install the SeaLand 510... we had one in our ex-Casita and loved the full "rim flush" design. This is a much higher quality than the factory-provided one.

By the way, don't you just love the way you can aim the furnace grille to point [more or less] right at the toilet seat?

In the photo, you can also see that we had that awful-looking aluminum cover powder coated white.

Also, had curtains made for the side windows and the two windows back in The Queen's Chambers. Ordered the fabric, as well as all the track and other hardware, directly from Airstream.

Rob. What are the advantages of this seat over the factory one in your opinion?

GMFL, nice mods!
Regarding the lower compartment door handles, do they get in the way? Do you kick them at all? I was thinking about this, and thought the kids would just tear those things off..

Also, on the number seal, can you provide more info? Why did you do that an d what is the leak potential? Inside the trailer, or in the bumper box?

I'm guessing that you are asking about the toilet... the "rim flush" provides much better flushing with little water usage... the toilet seat is the same as a regular residential toilet seat (non-elongated). The SeaLand mechanism has a great reputation for reliability and long-life. And the thing just "looks better."

This bead of Sica flex 221 is to help prevent water intrusion in at the back of the bumper between the rear shell and bumper it was a common problem on older airstreams to have an issue with this Airstream inserted a seal between to prevent this from happening but I am a man of overkill. Rob had addressed this in a previous post on the forum see link below

Forgot to address the door handles. They are not in the way at all. About 4" off the floor so you won't kick them and has not been a problem knocking around for us at all.
Thanks

Would you be so kind to provide links to where you bought your wheels and shoes (including lug nuts if you've replaced them)? My google-Fu isn't so great . I've not made any mods to our 23D yet as I'm not as skilled as many of you folks here so I figured starting with new wheel and shoes would be an easy start thank you!
