Ahh....all this talk about tires.

Our tires are 5 years old (per manufacture date). Went to replace with new ones. Nope. Supply chain issues. All they had was brands I've never heard of. Need to call around to the tire shops again. Thanks for the reminder.

On a different note....hypothetical, of course...if your spouse (or other random idiot) took a shower in the trailer, and didn't check the tank levels, and when you returned to the trailer and checked, you saw that the gray tank was at 100%....and the water was NOT backing up into the shower....Is it possible that water would show up in the rear trunk?

Right after this scenario happened, we discovered we had some clear water (no color, no odor, etc) in our trunk. Emptied the trunk, dried everything out, and then it seemed fine.

Could this have been from the shower/full tank situation? There was no indication of a leak from anyplace in there.

Anybody got a recommendation of where to buy a new passenger brake light assembly? Only about half of the LED’s are working when I depress the brake pedal.

I hope I’m using this multi-topic thread correctly…

We have a 2013 23D with that shallow cabinet under the oven. I’m thinking of using it to store cooking fluids such as olive oils, vinegars and the like - these come in tall skinny bottles that would fit there and it would make them convenient for cooking but not in the way. To keep them upright I am thinking of drilling 2.5” holes in the bottom of the cabinet such that the bottle bottoms would sit on the floor of the trailer under the cabinet. I’m guessing there’s nothing in there such as wiring that would get in the way of this plan. To keep the cabinet door from swinging all the way to the floor I was thinking of either using something simple like short lengths of light chain to restrict the door swing to 6” or so, or something overkill like the gas pistons used to keep overhead cabinet doors open.

I’m interested to learn of other solutions for this space and comments on my proposed use and approach.

Ours is a 2018 23CB (D), so not sure the shallow cabinet is same size. We do store our oils and vinegar in that slot. My solution was to insert this iDesign Linus Deep Fridge bin sized 4”x14-3/4”x4” to catch any oily spillage. I also alternate plastic bottles and glass bottles and then stick a carton of stock on each end since they fit well.

So far we have not had to worry about the cabinet door opening or containers falling over. If traveling really rough roads like to Alaska, then I would stick temporary piece tape to hold door shut. We had a cabinet open once so I do this depending on the roads we travel that day.

In our 2015 23D Internal Serenity we put handles on the two lower access hatches and store paper products, the tool bag and the owners case in there. There is a surprising amount of storage there.

We have the Dometic CU-434 stove to replace the stock unit. That is Marmoleum custom flooring.

Thanks for the input.

I ended up buying stainless steel cup holders from Amazon and inset them into 2-3/4" holes drilled in the floor of the cabinet. I built two maple brackets to support cup holders over each door hinge. I used a lid support from Rockler to limit the door swing to prevent it slamming into our shins. Those two doors to the right of the oven under the pantry and wardrobe - the forward one I built into a wine storage cabinet; the aft one is where we store our inside slippers.

My spring project. The wife wanted more pantry storage, a place for pans and cooking utensil AND more meal prep space. This is what I came up with.

In the meantime, the leak is below floor level, so the leak should only effect the galvanized enclosure and the ground. I think I'd just use it.

So update on the grey tank leak. This was not as bad to fix as I may have feared meaning no Tank replacement. Although it did cost me more to have the dealer repair, it is fixed and we are ready to go. Attached is the parts manual pic showing the sketch up of the connections and the Worm clamp that holds these two pieces together had broke releasing pressure and allowing the leak. I have loved following this forum while eagerly waiting for our 2022 23D international to reach us. After returning from our maiden voyage boondocking at Salt Creek we quickly identified two things that we needed to fix stat and thanks to this thread we had a pretty good idea of what we had to do:

1) Installed foam insulation board that we got glued some sable pleather to in order to keep the corner bed warm on those 30 degree nights (and to keep our cats reflection from haunting her mercilessly).

2) Removed (and saved) the pretty but highly annoying (especially if you have a litter box in the shower) corner door and replaced it with a linen curtain.

Behold and thanks for the inspiration!Click image for larger version

Hey All!
Got my new tires and Sendel T-03 15" wheels. Will be doing the upgrade in the next week or two. Wanted to see if anyone sees an issue with how I plan of doing the upgrade from the original 14" wheels to the new 15" wheels. I am planning on backing up both back tires onto Anderson levelers and switch out the front 2 wheels. Then pull off the levelers and pull onto them on the front tires and switch out back tires. Do you think there will be any issues with the second transition with the front tires being 15" and the back tires being 14" for the minute it takes to switch up the levelers? Are there any issues with having both tires of one axel slightly off the ground. I'll keep the trailer hitched up to our TV while doing the change. I got this idea from another thread on the forum.

Nope, that will work just fine! You're going to love the fifteens!

That 15" tire change added 1.1" more elevation to the 2015 23D bringing it to the same elevation as our 2013 25FB. Reused the Hensley hitch of the 25FB with the same settings. That elevated the black plumbing at the street side rear for better clearance going in and out of fueling stations. When I upgraded from th stock 3,000 pound axles with ten inch drum brakes and five lug wheels to to 3,600 pound axles with 12" dual puck disc brakes with six lugs, I also had the Dexter 3" lift kit factory installed. After the trip home, the axles settled about an inch. Thus I netted about two inches more clearance for that rear plumbing..

Hey Everyone, I'm not sure if I am totally over thinking this but I'm trying to figure out the best way to do the switch because of the difference in tire size. At some point in the procedure I will have a mix of the original 14" wheels and the new 15" wheels on the trailer at the same time. Is there a best way to do this as to not cause any damage? Is it best to do 1 side first and then the other side or would it be better to do 1 axel at a time? If I do 1 axel at a time, is it ok to have the weight of the trailer on 1 axel while I swap out the wheels on the other axel? If I do 1 axel at a time, will it cause any issues for the brief time I have 15" on one axel and 14" on the other? This is new to me so I'm a little nervous about stressing the axels. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
