Does this mean we now have a Classic?
Funny, we have looked at a larger Airstream when we replaced our totaled 23D but did not find one we liked better overall than the 23CB. It fits us very well.

Just checked the Airstream website for all trim levels. The 23D or 23CB is no longer available in any trim line.
Very glad we have our 2015 23D International Serenity.

Creating More Storage Space
If you’ve ever removed the mattress and plywood from the corner bed you probably have noticed a bit of wasted space. My goal was to enlarge that space and make it easier to access so that I could stow my acoustic guitar under the bed. My wife plays mandolin and we love to travel with our instruments. Up to this point, my guitar which would not stow anywhere had to travel either on the bed or on the floor of the trailer. This was very inconvenient.
It took a bit of work but here is what I came up with. The main obstacle was working around the drain into the gray tank. I’m planning on adding some lift struts to help in lifting the mattress.

Yep, David, that's exactly what it means... classic, indeed!
Last week, Linda and I were in Galveston. We delighted in the perfection (for us!) of the 23D's layout. We could gaze out the front windows from the comfort of the lounge area, watching the surf and the families enjoying it. Heck, Linda could even have morning coffee propped up in bed back in The Queen's Chambers and still look out the big windows up front. We thought out loud that if our trailer was a 23FB, we would have to sit on the bed to have that view. And the only real place to "lounge" would be the dinette where we would have a glorious view of the kitchen sink! Yuk.

I’ve ordered one this week as well and they have already given an estimated build start date and a vin. Usually a manufacturer won’t do that unless they are building it. Pretty sure they are building them. Could be a glitch on the website, or they may be fazing them out soon. My dealer didn’t say anything about it however

Hahaha. Ours is on order to be delivered in a few weeks. Maybe they’ll become a rarity and go up in value! 🤣

I’m wondering if the 23CB will be discontinued in 2023 model year. Airstream usually switches to the new models in the May-June timeframe. The 2022 23CB was on the website earlier this year, which might explain why you were able to order one. Or simply it’s an error on the Airstream website.

Since we almost always hook up to city water I figured what's the need for the sanitize routine? The tank is pretty much empty year after year so for about 3 years I didn't bother.
One time when we were going to keep a little water in the tank for use on the road I noticed the water pressure seemed low. Right before the water pump is an inline screen filter. I checked that filter and it was clogged with green slime. It took multiple sanitizing routines over a couple of years but it's running clean again; no blockage. My advice is to do sanitize each spring.

The dealer(Seattle) that we have our 23CB on order with just got back to me with our full vin (Feb offline). He said Airstream told them not to take future orders on 23CBs this week, he indicated that it sounds like the floor plan is being discontinued.
I guess she will be an instant classic when we pick her up then [emoji38]

I do ours three times a year: (1) when winterizing, (2) mid-summer, and (3) when de-winterizing. It's easy, so why not?

You're right, it's sure quiet around here these days. I suppose that's to be expected since so much of our earlier activity centered around the various mods some of were doing. Now, Fortune Cookie is so perfectly matched to us that I'm really out of ideas for projects. Now, I have to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Last week we were in Galveston, Texas in the beachfront Dellanara RV Park. Great trip, and like your trip, there wasn't a single problem... well, except for the horrendous traffic as we drove through Houston!

Our HOA will allow a TT to be parked for only 24 hours, so I really hate to even bring it over here. By the time I get it and bring it back, half the morning is shot. Once when I had returned to the house a truck was parked there and I had to track down the driver to have it moved. When done I usually take it back the same day as it blocks the driveway.
The FW tank takes a long time time to drain, even when using the pump and having the low point drains open. You have to pump water through all of the pipes to get the bleach out and there is no dump station nearby. Opening the gray valve is technically illegal and there's a cop living 2 doors down, not to mention the HOA spotters. So I have to use a 2 gallon bucket and a large bowl to dump water on the grass.
Anyway, for me, not so easy. It's the better part of a day for a round trip. If we used the FW tank more it might be worth it.

Wow, thats a real orderal! I can certainly understand how difficult maintenance and repair can be when the trailer is so inaccessible. I tend to forget that everyone's trailer isn't sitting just outside on the driveway (or whatever) with a nice metal carport thingy protecting it. I apologize for my shortsightedness.

No apology necessary, but now I'm very jealous. I would probably work on my AS all the time if it were just outside.
I didn't even mention dragging out the food grade hose for the water or carrying my small air pump down to the curb. The storage spot isn't level so I built a little ramp that I have to bring home because my street out front isn't level either.
The storage lot doesn't allow repairs on anything there either. I pay on time every month so they looked the other way when I removed everything from the A frame and repainted it. There's no water supply there, however.
Yes, a real ordeal. I've tried to talk the wife into moving somewhere else but we've been here 24+ years. I don't think it's going to happen.

Yep, twenty four-plus years is a long time! I can identify; we've been in our modest home for nearly forty two years. It's been remodeled twice, the last time making it perfect for us until we have to leave for health or whatever reasons. It is a real luxury having the trailer right out front; lots of opportunity to fiddle with stuff.

RFP Those are our exact sentiments regarding our 2019 23CB . International Signature. Thanks for voicing them! More lounge area, views and the ease of watching the tv/movie is such a plus. She’s already a classic in my eyes!

It’s also what drove my wife and I to pick this floor plan! When we heard it was discontinued, we started questioning if we made the right choice since this is our first RV and we ordered “sight unseen”. Y’all have convinced us it was the right choice! [emoji120]

There are 4 airstreams at the Pine Knot Casita rally this week, including our 23CB and a 23 FB. The FB has a great bathroom but feels much more cave like. The dinette in the FB is not at all comfortable, the lack of a skylight and not having two lounging areas is a real minus for us.
We much prefer our CB over the FB.
