Pcskier,
Take a look at the simplehuman stainless steel wall mounted paper towel holder. 3 tiny screws and its up. We got ours on Amazon.
I put it under the galley cabinet as far to the left as possible - right behind the key hooks.
Elegant and works beautifully.

Our tow vehicle is a 2015 Ford F150 with the Max Tow package, 3.5 EcoBoost, and 35-gallon fuel tank. Great performance towing the 23D; loads of power (near-diesel torque at low RPMs) and comfort.

Water Heater Support
I haven't been able to do the water heater support project and have a trip of several thousand miles upcoming.
What does the group think about running with the water heater drained when on the road to reduce the weight by 50+/- lbs and thus reduce the stress on the mounting?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

No help on the 3.3 but I think my wife’s 2018 Rigeline towing limit is 4K#. Payload is high enough at over 1400#. I also see frontier towing might only go up to 6500# if equipped. My son has a Fromtier with payload around 1K#. It would be easy to exceed payload.

I apologize for my non-answer... apparently my reading comprehension waa taking a break as I read your post!
So, while I have no experience with the 3.3l, I have a comparison that may - or may not - be helpful.
In a former life, we towed a 17' Casita (approx 3,300 pounds on-the-road) with a supercharged Toyota Land Cruiser (313 horsepower). The Land Cruiser frequently struggled, even with "just 3,300 pound's" especially in the Colorado Rockies.
Given such marginal performance with horsepower similar to the Ford 3.3l and a lighter trailer, I would think the Ford 3.3l pulling a heavier trailer would be even more marginal.

OH now that is nice, thanks for sharing. I do have mixed feelings about that design, but since we have two kiddos we'd stick to the dining table

Thanks...I'll check in to it. Did you mount it parallel to wall or perpendicular? Mounted to the bottom of the cabinet?

Comparing / choosing 3.5 eco to 5.0 v8 thoughts and keeping diesels out of the discussion... A difference of 70 lb / ft of torque between the two seems insignificant However, the V8 hits it’s peak at 4500 RPM, while the Eco gets there at a more relaxed 2500 RPM, which is nearly perfect for towing. I don’t know what the V8 torque is at 2500, but I would guess, not enough to not require a much lower gear and what some might feel too much RPM for long climbing / duration pulls... even starts. The 5.0 would sound awesome, but the Eco’s torque will result in less downshifts or gear hunting. I don’t have figured to back it up but I bet the MPG award goes to the Eco.

This is one of the big reasons we picked the 3.5l EcoBoost... and after three 'towing seasons' we are really happy with our decision. We have yet to find a mountain, hill, or grade that gave us the slightest problem.

FWIW, we have a 3.5 HDPP XLT and about two weeks ago we average 12-13 MPG. Note that I locked out 9 & 10th gear, and depending on hills, I lock out 8. I don't need all the bells and whistles so the XLT and HDPP combo gave me #2541 payload and we bring kayaks, bikes and the outdoor kitchen on the truck. Granted this is our first 'real' truck we have nothing to compare it with but very happy with it for nearly 2 years.
