Pcskier , sorry for the confusion. There is only three low point drains and one fresh water tank drain. I'll be more careful posting.

No worries! I winterized last week and have had 13 degree temps this weekend so you had me nervous that I missed one!
In your defense, in my 2014 manual it only refers to the tank drain, then the two under the bed...no mention of the third brass one under the fresh tank. So anyone using the manual could easily miss it. Way to go Airstream

The pump sucked up 2 gallons of antifreeze! Seemed like a lot I went outside and found that I pumped 2gallons of antifreeze on the ground! I looked in my airstream manual and couldn't find any info on the forth valve. I used the white valve to drain fresh water tank. The valve on the bottom is the one that was open and pumped the antifreeze on the ground.

Came home with a very short list of things needing attention but thanks to you guys have a few more mods to do!
Already planning on a few shorter fall and winter trips, will post a few more pictures and maybe where we plan to Glamp in the next few months if any of you guys are interested.
Thanks for all the support and great ideas on this thread!!!

Dacron?
RFP,
In your post about the new foam upgrade in Fortune Cookie you mentioned wrapping the foam with Dacron. could I talk you into elaborating a bit as to the how's and whys? I know a lot of the covers tend to walk around and get out of place in the FCs at least, might the wrap help?
BTW, wet enough for you? The ducks around here are starting to carry umbrellas!

Hi David! Sure, here's the deal (as I understand it): Most quality upholstered furniture 'wraps' the foam in a Dacron product that is made (more or less) for that specific purpose. This stuff, for example: https://www.joann.com/fairfield-30x1.../14311740.html
The "Dacron" is very resilient, regaining its loft after being squashed by sitting on it.
It's easy to install on the seat bottom cushions: just unzip the Ultraleather covers, slip out the foam, and wrap the suckers with the Dacron. A spray adhesive can help keep the Dacron in place as you replace the foam into the Ultraleather covers.
The Ultraleather will still "migrate" around on the cushions as they are used; probably not as badly as unwrapped ones. Firmer foam in the seat bottom cushions go a long way at controlling this "cover creep" ... but I think yours being a newer model 23D than ours, you probably already have the firm foam.
Does this help?
Don't forget to drop by again the next time you are up here... I've got your magazine rack thingie safely stored for you (and I actually know where it is!).
"Hi" to your sweetie.

While I had our accordion door off for another project (running the HDMI cable from the front television to the television back in The Queen's Chambers), I noticed that the little plastic "nail head" pin on the outside edge of the door was badly deformed and would certainly fail in the future... perhaps the near future.
My "fix" was to make a new part from HMW polyethylene (think white plastic cutting board). A couple of quick measurements and a few minutes on the table saw, and I had a fix-for-eternity. It took longer to drill-pry-coax-cuss the old part from the door than to replace with my new one.
You may also notice that I added the Asian Sand laminate into groove in the metal door track... the world's most insignificant mod). Anyway, cut a piece of laminate 1.15" and slide it in... that's all folks.

Thanks Rob,
That clears it up, I was thinking the thin, slippery Dacron sheets I have seen, that upholstery material looks great, will try that and maybe re-foam the bottom cushions on the dinette.
Looks like we have decided to take the Airstream to the west coast next week. We were just going to drive out to take youngest son some of his stuff but after staying in a few hotels last week on the trip with Mom Carole said she would much rather take our cabin on wheels! Guess she has really taken to Glamping!!

Pretty good? Wow! OK...so you are this group's master fabricator. Rob (RFP) is the master woodworker/interior finishes guy. Rob 2 (Trout) is the solar/electrical guru. And the talents and abilities of the three of you certainly overlap in many areas as well.
The rest of us...just desperately hoping to keep up

Pcskier, you are so right! I got my lift blocks drilled this am. Next to paint/rust proof them, but for now it's back to work.
Yesterday I got the 23d winterized after a trip to town for more antifreeze.
I don't try to keep up I just keep plugging away...

Good philosophy! Keeping up with these guys would be exhausting! So many great ideas to 'plug away' at though! But I'm not going to lie, even though I can and have built a house (being the GC and doing many jobs subs would normally do,) and am much more handy and mechanical than the average guy...no way do I have the tools and/or talent to do the finish work RFP does, nor the fabrication GMFL does. I just need to accept that and love myself anyway!!

The lock looks great. And the play by play was excellent. I'm interested in doing a cushion foam upgrade myself so I'd like to see some pics as you progress. Where do you plan to get the foam from?

Look back a few pages in this thread, specifically my post number 2435 (I would link it here, but I'm engaged in hand-to-hand combat with my phone).
I did a lot of research before selecting the foam... there are about a g'zillion choices. The one I finally chose is perfect... to us... YMMY

Kind words
Thank you for the kind words. The Lord blesses us all with different talents for sure. I think one has to enjoy a craft to excell at it. My mind runs nonstop (it’s sometimes a curse). Working on projects like the hitch lock allow my mind to focus. I spent way to much time building that thing to make any sense to most people. It’s like a chew bone for a dog, it’s soothing for me. I could not afford the therapy sessions it would require to “fix” me so I self medicate with over the top projects that make little to no sense. You guys all do great work, and I love to see the projects and progress. Keep it up.

Example. This is what I’ve been doing the last two days.
Building a floating dock for my church.
