That an awesome story Fred. We are fortunate enough to live on the water full time and my Son (Drake 9) and Daughter (Olivia 14) both have the opportunity to fish and spend time with Me (Dad 43) on the water both for fun and working.

My oldest daughter (20) is named Olivia. And really, donít blink. Everything accelerates when they get the freedom to drive. Next thing you know, they are driving off to college.

Make sure she considers Clemson, dang good school.

Help...indoor dust bowl coming soon!

I posted this in the Storage section and here. Hope the wizards can help!

We have dust issues coming to our indoor warehouse storage space. They are sand blasting the floor below us and due to various issues, which we wonít go into here, our unit cannot be moved off the floor. They have sealed what they can to prevent dust from coating everyoneís toys but knowing dust there will be a layer that makes it through. We are unable to remove the unit for lack of anywhere else to put it and due to work/personal reasons cannot take off on a trip (though we really would like to).

Does anyone have suggestions? We know that it is not recommended to cover your Airstream outside, however, would this be a problem indoors for a few weeks to a month? Would you cover with something or just try to tape all the vents etc.?

We really appreciate any input.

As a frequent windy/desert area camper and boondocker...the dust won't hurt anything, just give it a good wash when you get it out. You mentioned they are blasting the floor 'below' you. Do you meant a different level in a multi-level facility, or literally the floor below your trailer...the one that's it's sitting on? If it's a different floor altogether, I especially wouldn't worry about it.

But having said that...it would not harm anything to fully cover it and seal things up using thin...really thin...painters plastic from Home Depot. The kind that is almost like Saran Wrap. Use blue painter's tape, as sparingly as possible, to hold it all together. You can pretty much wrap the whole thing this way, and with it being inside out of the wind, and using such light plastic, you'll seal it from dust without the risk of any damage to the finish.

Did you guys know that the same architect/designer did both Clemson and Auburn. They are sister campuses. They look very similar. And they are both tigers.

I like Auburn, but not if playing Clemson. Both beautiful campuses.

Rich, my daughter said she learned in a freshman intro class at Auburn that Clemson stole the Auburn colors and mascot At least they didnt get the eagle.

All kidding aside, another great school, especially if youre a college football addict like me. Ronnie, wish I had known you a few years ago and would have made it a point to get together.

Quick question, am looking to access power for a new ceiling vent fan to replace my vent and think I have it all figured out, but will need to drill a 3/8 in hole in the top/middle rib in front of it to snake some 12v wire through, which also happens to be the most forward rib.

Should I have any "structural" hesitancy in doing so ? Thinking not, but always good to ask this crew for thoughts.

Will use a collar on the bit to make sure I dont punch through. And will also keep an eye on all ceiling light wires.
