How did you secure it in place?
It’s got an adhesive backing on it that holds up very well. It’s designed to stick to the undersides of floorboards in auto applications. For the part that is against the fridge I just left the plastic backing on the adhesive so it wouldn’t stick there.

I also took some inspiration from @Boog and have been playing with a baffle to help channel the air through the coils. I was going to do this in sheet aluminum, but already had the DEI product with me so will start with this and see how it holds up when I put some road miles in...gut feel is that I will have to do some aluminum backing to keep the material in shape for the long term.

Still on the list is to add a couple of fans at the top of the upper door similar to Boog's setup to aid in air extraction.

Cool, thanks. Here are the specs and a link to the product. I really like this idea for heat and sound...

Blocks radiant heat from entering driver compartment; ideal for firewalls, under-vehicle, floor pans, oil tank box areas, transmission tunnels, wrapping fuel cells, under hoods & more

Withstands direct high heat temperatures up to 1750 degrees Fahrenheit

Serves as a barrier to unwanted road, tire, & engine noise

Aggressive self-adhesive backing holds past 450 degrees Fahrenheit; Easy to form to shapes and contours

Constructed from 10 mil aluminum bonded to finely woven layer of high temperature resistant glass fiber

Guess what I'm doing this weekend?

I've been living on borrowed time with my stock 2011 Goodyears

Based on this crew's reco, I ordered the 5 Sen Del wheels from AZ, then took them to Costco to have the Michelin Defender LTX 235/75R15 spooned on. (Good deal going on now with $70 off and penny install!

I also ordered the Centramatics and McGard 64010 lug nuts. I'll be bolting it all together this weekend.

Will keep everyone posted as I'm praying they fit (Look BIG!) without mod, and hope the spare fits in my carrier

Fridge cabinet insulation

You can buy a roll of foil faced foam backed self adhesive insulation at Home Depot for about $20.00. The brand is "Frost King". It is 12" wide X 1/8" thick X 15 ' long. Rated to 300 degrees. That is more than enough for lining the fridge compartment. This helps keep the wardrobe cool. I added a curved piece at the top to smooth the way for warm air to escape out of some thin aluminum soffit material. of course, this was after I installed the regular fan upgrades to make fridge perform like it should. The DEI stuff is first rate. I used a lot of it when doing frame off restorations on classic cars. Pretty expensive for this application. Make sure you have this stuff where you want it before applying to wall as it REALLY sticks well. Works like a charm.

Yes, I was about to order 4 but stole that idea from you guys! Costco was scratching their head at my order. $70 off set of 4 Michelins, then Penny install for 4 tires. Ended up paying full install for the last tire but still a good deal. Plus they threw out all the boxes from the Sen Dels LOL....

You may need to modify your spare holder to get that Michelin to fit.

Just sayin .... I just up graded my rims, tires, valve stems, lug nuts, resealed wheel wells and centrmatics. My spare tire rack was rusted so I did the mod as I had to sand and repaint it. I learned from GMFL when I swapped wheels.

Yep that's the one! I got a friend to weld it up for me since I had to repaint mine as it was rusted. Two coats of rustoleum rusty metal primer and two coats of hammered silver. Second coat on this morning.

I also put in a battery cut off switch, bathroom window decal for privacy, rigged up a small close line on rear awning, had a hitch made for tractor, got a water filter incoming water, surge protector and also new bearings.

I'm working on the water heater mod and have parts for second slide for pantry and lift for vanity mirror.

Thanks!, I think I can do that mod....but your welded carrier mod is out of my skillset.... May just have to throw a blown tire into the back of the F150....

I think I'm going to do a lift like you did. I found your blog on your lift as the gas line runs thru it. This is above my skill level but I have a friend that has tools and is a good auto mechanic. He has a giant toy hauler and use to race demolition derby cars. He has read the posts on the Dexter kit and thinks it shouldn't be to hard. I have since found you method and I like it better.

Also do I need to replace my charger / converter if I got a battery cut off switch?
