Mine was painless as well. They checked lights, tires, brakes and emergency breakaway switch. Not bad at all. Took about fifteen minutes. I think they know that folks with the high dollar trailers like ours are gonna be in top shape. It's the folks dragging the flatbeds and home built junk out there that should get flagged by these inspections. And that should make the roads safer for everyone.

If you & your rig are out of state at the time of renewal you can reregister just like you could before. When you return to Texas you have 72 hours to have the rig inspected. No more inspection stickers, it is recorded via the system.
