Personalizing Minnie

Our new to us 25' Flying Cloud is named Minnie. We have done a few things to personalize it to get ready for 2nd voyage in her. Our first one was to Fort Wilderness right after picking her up from the dealer. I don't recommend that. Here are a few things we have done to make day to day easier. [ATTACH]212527[/ATTACH
This we attached to side of cabinet where you walk in to put paper and keys so they don't take up space on our most coveneted counter space.Click image for larger version

Multiple towel rack on back of bathroom door because finding a place to hang towels for 5 is quite challenging.

For clarification, I don't recommend going on a weeklong camping trip the day you pick up the camper. I do recommend Fort Wilderness.

Great ideas! I'm going to be borrowing a few of these. Thank you.

Where did you buy the soap dispensers? Are they screwed in or mounted with adhesive? Do you empty them when you are driving because they are leaky, or do they do ok when you're in motion?

The soap dispensers are by simple human and I ordered them from Amazon. I would post link, but I don't know how from my ipad. I plan to leave the liquid in there. They have not leaked so far. They are a bit pricy, even though that word is so subjective, but they are good quality. I will let you know how they do after our weekend trip.

They are mounted with a glue type adhesive, which I like. Most everything I hung, I used command strips. I hate the idea of drilling holes anywhere. I did in a few places, but very few!

I think my husband felt like he was going in circles. Lol. He couldn't get out. We were newbies though and we don't get to go to one often. I love going there. 😊

We are still trying desperately to figure out a sleeping configuration for our family in our 25' Flying Cloud Rear Queen. We had planned for kids to sleep in the front and is on the queen bed in back. However, it too tight for kids up front. We have the larger bathroom so the side sofa is only 53" not 66" like some are in the 25' or 27'. We have debated about trading this unit we just got on something bigger, but we get nothing for trade in. 😔 We thought of selling it ourselves and then starting over looking. 😜. We also have tried to brainstorm ways to modify it to better meet our needs. I even called P&S Trailers and they didn't want to do modifications since it was so new. Anyone have advice? (Tent outside is not an option for us.)

What an irritating predicament. Could any of your family sleep on the floor?

There are three of us sleeping in our trailer. I get the bed, my wife gets the dinette, and my 12-yo son sleeps on the floor in the "hallway." We all have tons of room to move around. My son loves it down there on the floor. We bought him a high-end sleeping pad, a nice warm-weather sleeping bag, a blow-up camping pillow, and a portable Fantastic Fan that he uses to blow on his face. He thinks he's in heaven, and he seems to prefer it to his bed at home. When he likes he can even move up underneath the dinette table so that he is mostly underneath my wife in his own little cave. I tell him that he's the only one of us who is "really" camping.

The only problem is that I usually wake him up if I need to use the bathroom, but he always falls right back asleep since he doesn't need to get out of his sleeping bag for me to squeeze by. My wife can sneak right by him without issue. Finally he can use the bathroom without waking either of us.

Once my wife or I get up we either move the pad to the bed or just tip it up on it's side and lean it against the wall of the hallway. The sleeping bag, pillow and fan can be tossed on the bed or quickly put away in a neater fashion.

You might see who would be willing to try sleeping on the floor before you consider trading-in your current trailer.

There is very little floor space when all beds are open. We tried a cot and air mattress, but they don't fit. If it didn't have that stupid big round sink sticking out, there would be room. We may try the floor, but we have asthma and it can complicate that. I have thought about building some type of make shift bed at the end of the queen. There is about 22". I appreciate your input and other's ideas! 3 is much different than 5. 😊
