I don't mean new photographs of old Airstreams, I mean old photographs of current (at that time) Airstreams. Let me show by example.
My father took many slides of our travels with the Airstream. I have found the ones that had shots of the Airstream in it.
I am hoping that looking at these 'vintage' pictures would not only be fun but may be helpful to restorers that want to see what a trailer looked like 'back then'.
The link is: http://airstream.casarodante.org They are in no particular order. As people help the identifications, I will post more notes. My father's list of trailers that they owned are: '57, '62, '69, '71, '76 and '92. We have the '92 so there are no photos of that.
Have fun!

hi roger and roxie- I went to your link, and saw 3 pictures, the 3rd one of which appeared to be in my neighborhood-? It looks like Long's peak in the left background, near Estes Park, Colo. Back in the days when they still let you back your trailer into a field off the highway to have a picnic! Thanks for sharing these with us- tim
Very nice, I have to comment on the bag of charcoal sitting by the back storage area, looks like us in fact the last time we left for camping I forgot to put it in and when we got back it was still sitting in the same spot ooops. But the photo's are nice Thanks for sharing folks.

These are of Maraton, FL in 62. Also, of Watson Island in 61? where my Grandfather and my Aunt took a Whirlybird up and took photos... Also, the neighbors (I''ve researched and they were from Ohio) that were next to my Grandfather. The one with the black Buick is in 62 near Kutztown, PA. Enjoy!

My family camped a lot in the 1960's and 1970's. Unfortunately we used other forms of camping equipment, like Volkswagen campers, and a series of SOB trailers and pop-ups. It was still fun.
I also remember going to look at Argosy trailers in 1972-- The salesman tried his best to sell us one, but my father told him we would only buy one if we could tow it with our Pinto. The salesman exercised the better part of valor, but stuck around and showed us the features of the coach anyway.

Rob, those pics were a joy to see. Being born and raised in south Florida, I remember seeing lots of Airstreams traveling on US 1 in the early 60s right in front of my Grandpa's house. I love the pic with the beach in the background. Great stuff.

Your message got me curious about the page. Well I went there and saw only 3 also! My page got corrupted when I uploaded it. It should be OK now. There are 33 pictures there, I believe. Thanks for letting me know.

These are ones of them camping in the upstate NY area. There is at least one going into Texas with my grandmother. There WBCCI number was 4182, one I tried to get but couldn't. My uncle is in the photos too, and he now has a 68 Soveriegn. I love seeing these old photos. If you go over to the WBCCI Sierra Nevada unit's web site, they have alot of great old photos.
Enjoy!
