New Adventure Curtis Wright?
We found our next project, it seems to have a little street side panel damage, haven't seen the curb side yet but he says it is in good shape. They didn't tell me that it would be an easy restoration or that the floors were solid! It will have to wait for a while until we get the Cruiser done and a few other neglected projects around the home place but it should be fun. We haven't seen it in person yet so we don't know exactly what it is, Curtis Wright or early Silver Streak?? The last it was on the road was 8 years ago and we have to tow it 3-4 hrs. Was thinking of bringing a trailer to put it on, just to be safe, any tricks for getting it onto a trailer, seems like putting it on with the coupling first would be best, so the rear of the trailer could hang out if needed? Does anyone know if the wheel and bolt pattern is the same as our Cruiser?? I will get more pictures up next week after we pick her up.

New adventure indeed! I have no useful advice on the loading/unloading, but I'm sure you're right that flatbedding it will keep you from having white knuckles the entire time.
Have a blast, and take lots of photos!

I used an 87 in wide trailer and anchored it at the axle and pipe at both ends. It is a very light trailer and the overhang you mentioned is no problem. Don't know of the comparison to your other wheels...they were five bolt, however. Looking at it...I'd say trailer it and solve the mysteries at home. It does look beautiful...start looking for the missing window frame now...it's hard to find laying around. I have every possible picture of all parts if you need some introspection. NICE!!

Thanks for the info. the 5 bolt solves that question, it will be on a trailer for sure then. I am sure I will need all the help I can get. I have my fingers crossed that the other side is in good shape.

Wait, what? Another?!
We're not finished yet and I can't image picking up another project. Ok. Maybe I could. Especially a sweet trailer like that. Congrats!

Im looking forward to this weekend!!!!!! Doug has graciously agreed to allow
me to drool all over his new project before he even gets it home. In some ways this is better than getting a trailer like that for myself.

Silver streak
Turns out to be a Silver Streak Clipper, not sure on a year other then early 50's. Serial # 2437. I t was in tougher shape then I hoped but I new it would be a complete rebuild anyway, most of the interior was gone. She is going to just sit till next year for the most part until I get all the things done I have been neglecting around the house so I could continue work on the Cruiser. For now I will just sweep out the nasty stuff and park it for a decoration! The ad did say that it was useable,NOT! Maybe by all the fury creatures around! They forgot the line in the ad that said floors solid and easily restored Glad we brought a trailer to haul or there wouldn't have been much left by the time we got home. Good thing our guard dog chased all crawly things out!
I need to send many thanks to BradS for the good company and help with the recovery!

I would not have missed it for anything. When I bought my first trailer I had no idea that it would lead me to so many wonderful friendships. I cant think of a better way to spend a day. Thanks for including me. Here is a few more pics of your new girl
