LED light strip

Any suggestions for adding an awning light strip? Brand, etc.

Try Boogey Lights, I have used these in the past.

AS now includes a LED awning light option on Internationals, it requires a larger switch assembly, fishing some wires, and installing the strip. Your local AS dealer would be able to install no problem.
To DIY:
order from AS the following;
(1) interior light switch assembly including bezel-2016 and newer INT (interior light and awning light switch).
(1) LED strip for 28' INT
About 8' of wire
AS runs the wire harness up the curbside rear, but I suggest you run it straight up curbside front from the switch and seal the heck out of the grommet through the outside.
Good luck!

From Airstream Dealer:
LED strip-$154.00
switch assy.-$92.13
This switch replaces the single interior light switch you have now, and maintains the Airstream factory original appearance.

Thanks for all the quick replies. So a strip of leds connected to the porch light won’t work? I see many for sale under $25.00

Not an awning strip but if your porch light is the round 3" type with an incandescent bulb LED4RV sells a LED replacement that is much brighter.

If by awning light you mean the strip you see at the top of some Airstreams under the awning, the advice to get the strip and switch is good.

If just a porch light, the suggestion to get the LED version was good too.

The $25 strips you've seen might be the kind I put on top of the beltline and connect to my battery. They last about a season - not really meant for all that outdoor stuff - but they're fun while they last.

Good luck!
