Another view of smily's entry

The trailer wasn't identified in this photo but the owner was. The plot thickens.

Mrs. Smith

I believe that's Mrs. Smith the Airstream. It's a '47. Belongs to Forrest Bone, he's the president of the Tin Can Tourists. He bought it about 10 miles from my house (the lucky dog), from the original owner.

Need more phots?

Arrggh, I got to know, are there more pictures Caadoptees? Very interesting case.

Although, I'm also interested - what the heck are all those "triangles" on top of their roof of the house? No kind of venting system that I've seen. In the NW, all the rain would come in.

No, I don't have anymore photos. I have been making a few phone calls to find out more about this. Here is the original photo.

Oh where Oh where can he be?

It is a real shame that one of our forum members got RV Andy so ticked off that he is no longer regularly (openly) posting to our forum.

I would think that RV Andy could and would identify this trailer.

Andy, Are you still out there? Would you be so kind as to solve this mystery for us?

Marc,

Those "triangles" are weights to hold the roof on during windy seasons. Done laughin' yet? What they are, I have no idea, but they are there to keep shingles and/or tin plates from going airborn during high winds. If you notice, the house is a double-wide mobile home, (manufactured home to be politically correct) Alot of folks here use old tires. Oscar

An update:

No news, but after about 6 phone calls yesterday, I have ended up FAXing my request to the Kern Co Sheriff's Boron substation. The secretary stated that there were only two deputies that worked out of there. I am hoping that he can get me a phone number of someone close to it.

I will let EVERYONE know when/if I get a response.

"Magic" triangles

Oscar,
Thanks for the roof info- I know a certain airstream forum member (and maybe Dorthy in KS?)who should have used them before his shell got away!
