How to identify a particular Airstream trailer model?

I am currently looking at purchasing a 1957 Airstream trailer. It is 26ft long, has an outer? aluminum skin, and the seller is unsure of the model. I was advised by a her husband that it may be a flying cloud. What do I look for to determine the model of trailer it is?

Pictures will help as will the serial number, typically on a plate by the door.

From the information on Airstream's site, if it's a 26 ft long 1957 trailer, it should be an Overlander.

Now, if it's a '56 model that wasn't titled until '57 and the year was entered wrong on the title, etc. it could be a Cruiser or an Overlander.

Basically, you need to get the VIN number from the (probably faded) blue plate next to the door (see my avatar) or embossed on the tongue; then either decipher it yourself with the info posted on the site linked previously or post it here and someone will help you.

The Airstream that I have been looking at is a Caravanner. Thanks for all the help in Iding it. Will attempt to post pics of it.
