This week I added a handle and a lock to the door.

And today I completed the front with the spare wheel, to bring five more kg weight onto the tongue.

And - I hooked it to my bike and made a one hour test ride over narrow mountain streets, high speed autobahn with strong winds and passing trucks.

The trailer follows very fine, I reduced trailer tire pressure a bit to reduce the clonks when I pass a bridge.

Tested up to 130 km/h and felt only a small swinging when reducing speed from 130 !
Perfect between 80 and 100 km/h.

Trailer weight is now 128 kg (282 lb) and five more kg adding the spare wheel.

Back at home I separated the sleeping box from the base camp to install the final connections between both parts in the evening.

Weight of the cabin is exact 50 kg (110 lb) !

I'm worried that you are going to cause accidents on the highway because other drivers will be staring and trying to take pictures! I think they will be stunned in disbelief. The set-up looks fabulous!

Nice job on the trailer. Very clever using the round ball for the corners.

Okay - last weekend before starting my journey to Spain.

Bought a sheet of blue self adhesive Oracover and nine self adhesive letters and cut a stainless plate.

After an evening I got this:

Next was to mount the poles to balance the trailer if not hooked to the bike.

Bad weather outside on friday, but inside my garage no problem.

On Saturday I did nothing at the trailer, because I had a full day motorcycle safety driver training at best weather from 9 to 5 !!!

And completed the rubber sealing between both parts.

And started to install the electric connections inside the box.

This is a european standard trailer connector normally installed at the car.
Every trailer has the matching plug.

Outstanding!

Tom, your craftsmanship is second to none! I am greatly impressed by your engineering and building skills.

I am a Professional Engineer. I build airplanes, and also bridges. Your workmanship is absolutely excellent. I really like how you made the "shell" removable from the "base."

I wish you many thousands of miles (time 1.6 for Kilo's.....) with your new rig. You have done well!

Hope to see you on the road someday!
