Do all Airstream Dealers offer the Forever Warranty?

Any warranty offer by any third party is a complete waste of money, actually just one step removed from fraud.

Sorry, but I have to disagree a bit.

Being on the other side of the equation as the guy who actually calls these companies when a covered client has a problem, it has been my experience that IF the problem is covered by the owner's contract, and IF the proper, specified claim procedures are followed, payout of the pre-authorized claim is assured. following the companies stated claim procedures is key for getting a repair covered.

I have had folks collect on blown out fridge cooling units ($2800 for the large RV fridges), new engines ($25,000+), very expensive engine repairs, complete replacements of Aqua-Hot hydronic heating systems ($10,000-15,000), etc.

I have always been paid, less the deductible, via a credit card the same or next day after the companies have received the signed, completed paperwork.

Some of these contracts (motor homes specifically) have been in the $7,000+ premium range, but many of these folks have gotten their premiums back and more. Of course, some have had no claims, but rest easy knowing that they have agreed coverage for many types of failures.

I don't think that these types of policies make sense for travel trailers, as the potential component failures do not compare with those of the large, expensive motor home segment, but almost every client with these large beasts has some type of after market, 3rd party insurer.

I will say that there are some companies that I will NOT do business with, and I inform the client up front. Those that insist on paying by check in 30/60 days, or those that place extreme, non-reimbursable demands on the authorization of claims or the amount that will be paid.

There actually ARE good aftermarket insurers out there. Specifically, Good Sam, Protective (and their many affiliated companies) and others, but like I said, these policies don't make a lot of sense for trailer folk!

The factory warranty for new Airstreams is two years.
The lifetime warranty has not been offered for several decades.

I believe that the OP is possibly referring to a new RV warranty program. It is called RV Warranty Forever (RV Warranty Foreverâ„¢ - Home).

We were given this warranty by the dealer when we bought New Lucy in October from Dixie Airstream in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

There is no cost to us for this warranty, and it is forever to the original owner, and covers just about everything on the Airstream including all of the appliances and mechanical systems.

The only requirement is an annual PM inspection which the dealer told us that they charge $175.00 for.

This is a program that individual dealers participate in. I know that it sounds too good to be true, but since I have it, I plan to comply with the annual PM requirement to keep it in force.

As usual Lewster has it about as close to reality as you can get....

After dealing with many aftermarket "warranties" in the Auto business for over 40+ years, I've learned that most of them are not worth the paper they're written on. (unless offered by the mfg, i.e. GMPP for G.M.)
I have never dealt with a company that charges a yearly fee to "fish" for concerns that would be covered under their plan, why would they?, it makes no sense from a $ stand point.
Such a company may just be looking for the things that are not covered, read the exclusions carefully.

If the administrator handles them as insurance or service contracts you will probably find them acceptable. The one being discussed here seems to have a yearly policy renewal? with unlimited? extensions which definitely leans toward the insurance side of the equation.

What I can say with almost 100% assurance is avoid all solicited by mail, robo calls, or those those offered by an exuberant sales person looking for his commission.
Speak to the Service Manager or service advisor in charge of calling the claims in for authorization to get their side of the story.

POI....this appears to be a new Company and there are very few reviews on-line and no discussion of the yearly fee, I tried the 800 number no live person on duty, and the computer seemed to answer "N-One Claims Center" (indicating to me an outside administrator) .....be careful.

Remember also that your road insurance will cover any components damaged in an accident.

I'm glad it wasn't the original warranty that someone had told the OP about.

I'll repeat Robert's admonition to be careful with this brand new, or nearly so, company. We probably get at least a dozen calls a month from people with extended warranties they recently purchased, wanting to know if we honor the warranties. Generally ten out of twelve have already folded, taking their victims, ehh, clients, premiums with them.

No premiums as long as you were planning on a $175 inspection every year anyway. Still, that's cheap compared to most premiums.

Our thought was that since the maintenance inspection includes servicing the water heater, refrigerator, and furnace, checking the brakes, wheel hubs, and air conditioner, it's worth keeping up with.

Does the $175 inspection actually include servicing the systems? I do see how it could with what labor cost are.

I bought a one year old 30' Classic off of a individual who had purchased a forever, transferable warranty for quite a few dollars.
After numerous calls and communication and giving me the run around for more than six months I gave up.
It was plain to see that they no intention of honoring their worthless piece of paper (warranty).
I would hate to think what it would have been like to actually have a warranty and try to get anything out of them.

I also received a forever warranty when I purchased my 2014 25 foot flying cloud here in Texas. Cost nothing for warranty just an annual $175 inspection which is a good deal in my book.

Not sure how a warranty helps if you cant get things fixed- Sure my warranty is good - brand new 2018 Bambi purchased 5 weeks ago- used one night and the refrigerator stopped working- It’s been back in dealer’s shop Dixie RV in Defuniak since- I have spoken with service rep, manager and no one can tell me when it will be fixed. I have called Airstream Main Warranty 3 times- “we’ll call you back” - no calls back.
So, “board blew” and Airstream “approved” Dixie to order new board. It was installed and it “blew”, so they thought maybe it could be the front panel. Airstream main “yes we approved a new panel”. No one can give me any idea of how long this will take- I asked Airstream main and they said they have no control over it.
So, have fun with Airstream warranties. I’m out $47k and have nothing to show for it. (They also act like they are doing me a favor for fixing their product)
