Right!

2 different zone temperature settings...no problem.
Zone 1 cool and Zone 2 fan.....OK.
Zone 1 on cool and zone 2 on heat pump........check your CCC-2 again. I don't think it will allow for the 2 opposing functions at the same time.

- 4 mode charge converter
- rear view camera system
- (3) bike rear rack
- electric leveler system
- undercoating
- resistors on LED tail lights to work with my Audi
- swapping GYM to Michelins
I've also purchased a TPMS system for the trailer tires (TV already has it)

I believe that's it for now

cory_can, nice package! My Dealer (CanAm) installed solar system is similar but with an additional panel (3). I think rawn77 is the same but with a 1500 watt inverter. When my 1500 watt inverter fried itself, I went to the 2000 watt with no detectable operating improvements. They both complained a bit making my morning coffee but the package provides enough juice that I don't need shore power except for Air. Actually, I only plug in when I need Air. (Like last week in Florida). I leave the thing in "use" at the storage yard since the controller does such a good job maintaining the batteries (4agm). I had my first issue with the 16" Michelins on my recent trip. They currently have 35,000 k on them and a valve stem leaked. The TPMS (Tire Minder) provided a warning and I was able to pump it up (vair 350p) and get to a tire shop that replaced the stem. Down time was 20 minutes. Hope you get a trip in before freeze up! 14.7 ave mpg to Florida and back. Jim

Hey Jim, CanAM here as well, and Ron has helped me out immensely.

I'm not upgrading to 16's, Andy didn't think it was necessary, although he did suggest the brand change.

We have 3 trips planned before it gets stored for the winter. Unfortunately, Florida isn't one of them this year. We were thinking next year, my son will be 9 and a trip to Disney/Epcot etc. is being discussed. We found indoor storage so charging won't be possible

Apparently "auto" on mode (not fan) means heat or cool- cool above 76, heat above 76-

Why would the thermostat care which unit was doing what?
Works out pretty good with the bathroom door closed.
We both want different temperatures and we both want to watch something different on TV, and I snore- thus the closed bathroom door-

Another cool thing it does on automatic mode:
When the temperature gets down low enough the heat pumps don't work anymore (30 something) the propane furnace comes on automatically. We discovered that quite by accident last November.

The point of all those posts was that someone said it couldn't be done...

Yes, I understand that thought process, although I don't abide by it.

Growing up, we kept the AC in the summer turned down cold enough to freeze ice cubes on the countertops. I the winter, we kept the temp us around 76 -78 so you had to peel off the warm clothes you had on!

When I grew up in mid-century small town Minnesota, there wasn't a single air conditioned building in town, most were saving for a food freezer, and some like my old grandparents still did not have electricity on the farm.

Fussing over one or two, direct or ducted, air conditioning while camping makes me wonder where this sort of thing will end, in that context. And now we have the ability to have one air conditioner cooling in the front of the trailer and the other one heating in the back for even more perfection.

While camping.

Yup, when I was being raised in Sioux Falls in the 40's, we put ice in a glass, set it in the window sill, and hoped the breeze would cool the room. LOL

Today, I think if we were to limit the A/C setting to 78 as the coolest, I would be happy. And in retrospect, with the improved insulation in the thicker roof, maybe one unit would suffice. My thoughts were the second unit would be best for resale value, and allow me to visit in Texas during the summer where experience suggests one unit is working very hard to get the temp down to even 85 degrees at times.

I am really not a "camper" per se, but someone who likes to sleep in her own bed, use her own toilet, be able to stop anywhere to sleep when on the road, and prepare her own food. In a new Airstream there is no way anyone can consider this as even coming close to "camping" or "roughing it" but simply taking the luxury of my home on the road.

Maybe I need a vintage 19 footer with no A/C to be a real Airstreamer....

The ducted air is really sweet IMO. (Old age, very soft, likes no discomfort)

I've been at the factory getting some warranty work completed.

I looked closely at the new ducted air parts and install. The plans I saw and talking with the duct builder if you have two A/C units while you still have 'zone' controls on the controller, air/heat flows the entire length of the ducts. There is no bulkhead in the ducts to really give you zone control temperature. That's my read of what I saw and heard. So the posts earlier in the thread where you have a different temp, front and back, on a dual A/C unit probably are not possible with the new system.

That's consistent with what the factory rep at the Hershey show told me, when I asked whether a single AC would service the entire trailer or not if it had ducted air. He indicated it would. Of course, two units could still be useful if the heat load were too large for a single AC to handle.

I am also at the factory getting work done.
The only obvious difference that I can see is the bulge in the roof that starts immediately after the end caps. I wonder if they will ever reshape/redesign the end caps to make that bulge go away.
