from my reading this is generally the failure point. The idea is that the bracket floats a little on the up tube. The bracket attached to the TT at the end of the horizontal connecting tube, simply fails.

FWIW I also upgraded to the fine thread AS used (I believe) to a #10 coarse thread for the attachment of the bracket to the back of the TT.
