If I said my stupid little Bose speaker sitting on that shelf sounds better than any stereo you could install in any Airstream would you believe me?

Are you sure you meant wi-fi and not Bluetooth?

I won't go as far as that but I do have the Bose Soundlink mini and really like it, being portable is nice too when you want a little music while sitting outside.

I did have the Soundlink II ? that you have but lost it when our cabin burned down in the 2016 Chimney fire that claimed I think 49 homes and cabins.
For some reason I replaced it with the Mini.

We love our Bose speaker. The one I have is smaller and colorful but sounds amazing. It’s survived several hard falls from the top of the refrigerator and still works.

I worked at Bose as an Senior Electrical Design Engineer and I will say that besides being a bit biased, one product in particular sounds amazing which is this one right here:

https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/...us-bundle.html

I no longer work there, nor is it a sales pitch, just as FIY as I own a pair of them also.

It all comes down to how the speaker enclosures are set up and placement for sound imaging. In an AS, while I'm sure most won't notice or care, there isn't really a good way to create that space in the roof lines, and metal isn't exactly the proper materials for resonance response of the speaker drivers.

So yeah, almost any "device" meant to deliver portable "good" sound will most likely outpace an AS factory installed system....mostly through no fault of AS.

If they did do it right, the costs would got up for exotic materials that are light weight, low resonance and then trying to shoehorn the volumetric space needed to match the exact Thiele/Small parameters of the speakers that are chosen to go in those spaces.........no one will pay for that......and most will not care......not even addressing the garbage MP3 compressed files or compressed Satellite radios that most will listen too.

TLDR: Yes, I wouldn't be surprised!

Yes, I believe you. I have a Bose Soundlink Mini in the front window of my 28 Serenity. Works great.

yes. I believe you too. They have really nice sound and are very directional. Less for neighbors to complain about.

We someimes use it with a tablet while streaming a sporting event. It makes the screen sound much larger!

Absolutely. I have the SoundLink Mini II in my office and a SoundLink full size at home. I also have the QuiteComfort 35's for when the wife doesn't want to be disturbed. All of them are exceptional.

I don’t think a lot of people can fathom how good these little speakers can sound, especially when they can reflect properly from the back side.

Phenomenal engineering.

Congrats Bose!

I believe you and can fathom it.

I have a Bose, a JamBox, a Demer Box (the last one also serves as a mini battery powered bass amp for my electric bass uke while traveling). It is amazing what these little boxes can do....
