AS trailer in CO scrap yard

I have had a close friend check this out and the report is that the trailer belongs to the owners of the scrap yard. It is not going to be scrapped and it is not for sale since they use it in their travels. They have had many phone calls about it and are wondering how the information got out about it.

Maybe they should put a sign up "Not Scrap/ Not for Sale".

There was a guy down the road from me who every hunting season took some orange paint and painted C-O-W on his bovines. Another guy put a sawhorse by the side of the road and put a pair of antlers on it. He had a lot of fun watching people running out of their car and taking a couple of shots to get some easy venison.

same thing happened to my trailer when i was restoring it at trailer co last summer. the owners of the co. said they had at least one person, sometimes two everyday stopping in to see if my trailer was for sale. the co sat right next to a major interstate and caught peoples' eye. now it is home with me safe and sound.

Last time I was thru there I thought Pueblo Colo was a scrapyard. Almost all of it. Just amazing the difference on up the road in beautiful ColoSprings.
I see it has improved.
One way to beautify a scrapheap I guess is to throw away something beautiful..like an Airstream.

Distandrummer.......actually, Pueblo is a very well kept secret. What you see from the highway (like many American cities) is not indicative of the people or the beauty of the city itself. Pueblo is a clean, friendly city with some cool architecture from bygone era's. There are some cool old homes and neighborhoods that beckon from the past.

Pueblo was VERY cool! The old downtown is revitalized and the old homes are GORGEOUS! There's a cool artsy factor and neat stuff to do all over the place. It was a very nice place and I would have no problems going back there. A friend of mine who used to live there was on the same trip, and he said this recent trip had decided him that he would be retiring there. His wife really wanted to go back there, too.

I agree....I wouldn't mind retiring there. And the weather is just a tad warmer than it is in Denver. Longer gardening season. If you go through with your Airstream, get off the highway and drive through some of the beautiful old neighborhoods. Great photo opportunities using the houses as a backdrop to your trailer.

Last time I went thru there was in 1984. I was impressed with the huge differences between Pueblo and, say city of Denver or Colorado Springs..I'm sure it's gotten only better since~!
While driving a motorcycle between Pueblo and, Durango, I found the countryside view impressive or fantastic~! The river was awesome and, inviting..
Spend a wild night at an old 1940's style road side motel called Hermosa Court, just outside of Durango. Cost 20$ cash up front..No credit cards, thanks you said the mama san lady in her night gown.. Now that was one heck of neat place..lol

I won't tell my wife, a Pueblo native, about what was said here about Pueblo. Once a major producer of steel, the city has been remaking itself for quite a while. Part of it is quite nice and some of it needs some help—like just about every big city. A lot of retirees now (including my in-laws) in Pueblo and in a "settlement" west of the Pueblo called Pueblo West. PW is sprawl, pretty much treeless, and full of old people (old like me), about 20,000. I won't say I'd want to live in Pueblo, but it's better than Colorado Springs with all its righteousness and much too busy Denver. Now I'm in trouble.
