An Airstream? Seriously?

Did anyone know that Airstream made six aluminum bodied fifth wheel trailers? Here's proof....

I have seen pictures of those before, probably here, but never one in person.

They made more then 6, about 125 in 1989,90, but there was only 5 made with the slide out option, also made Argosy 5th wheels in those years. Later in the 90's they made 5th wheels called Integrity, big white box looking http://www.viewrvs.com/5th-wheel/air...grity-36-a.php

I actually saw one at the mothership when we were there a few years ago and saw another at a tractor meet in Brooks, Or. Not only do they exit but people actually get them out and use them.

Okay, so we have established that AS made 5 or 6 of these with a slide out; so what do you think of the price?

Is it a rarity and worth the price, or something that someone wouldn't buy because it doesn't look like an "Airstream" should, thusly is lumped in with SOB fifth wheels with slide outs. Lets face it, a 1989 SOB fifth wheel trailer with 100 slide outs isn't going to be worth 24K+.

Cheers

To be fair, a SOB 16' trailer that leaks if you sneeze on it and none can be towed because the axle doesn't fit correctly, wouldn't be worth 45K+ either, but that badge makes them worth it if there are people willing to bite the lure.

So ya, a little patience and 24K for an Airstream oddity will probably happen.
