The Santa Barbara Auto Club Airstream Hotel has vintage Airstreams for rent. All of these Airstreams were restored by architect Matthew Hofmann. These might be a fun alternative for people in the far north who would like to do more than California Dreaming, but only have a week's vacation in winter, so we can't take our own trailers south. These are some gorgeous trailers. I saw some of them in progress on an HGTV show in Canada.
Flying Flags RV park in Buellton, CA (north of Santa Barbara and next to the town of Solvang) is also putting is several parked restored vintage Airstreams that you can rent....no towing involved....check out their website as well.....sounds like both places have a good idea....hope they are successful. paula

Matthew Hofmann runs Hofmann Architecture and does some very cool Airstream restorations. His website has a number of informative videos as well. Impressive operation in an impressive town.
