I will post when some of the welding is done. We got plenty of pics of rusty frames already in the forums. However, if a particular detail is of interest to you, then I'll gadly take a picture and post it for you.
The same guy that offered his killer welder to me just also loaned me a Sawzall. This will help with the cutting and fabricating, because the only other device I have is a 4-1/2in cutoff tool.

You know, Tim, you're right. I made a few attempts, but as you know, the bathroom is tight, and taking decent pictures would require removing the bathroom screen, and shooting through the window opening. But then there's always beer in the fridge, and the beer wins....
But I will take some pictures next time we go out with the Tradewind.
And, the '63 will have full documentation. Thanks for caring.

Good information.
Dometic recently sent me an abbreviated manual, looks like just the basement a/c section of the one you linked to.

Frame update

I took these this morning in order to document the frame work on this project.
The first picture shows the new rearmost crossmember, before the C-channel reinforcement.

Some more rusty frame pictures
The last one shows the use of an existing cross member, shortened to ofit into the reinforced main frame rail. i will use 2 or 3 more of the existing, undamaged cross members. They are much lighter, but also weaker than the new ones.
btw, i will still carve up the new unes to allow acces for bolts etc.

Progress - looks great! Did you have any problems cutting the floor out?

Nah. Lifted the shell off, and the floor just went "poof" on the ground, like in a cartoon or something.
I was able to remove the front section in one piece, although it's perforated with rot holes. This will give me somewhat of a reference for installing and cutting the new floor.
Andy invited me to come and measure out the shell on an intact 60's Overlander, and fortunately, airhead is close by also, with his 1960.
