27' Eddie Bauer
Got the Airstream newsletter today and they are now - or will be in the future - offering a 27' Eddie Bauer. Not much info - guess Colonial will post more later.

I happened to be on USAdventureRV website last night, and they claim to have the only 27' Eddie Bauer in the country.

No way! The Eddie Bauer means nothing for me -in fact the lack of regular storage would make it a very poor choice for a fulltimer as far as I'm concerned. Just posted this for info.

Oh to DROOOOOL...
Al - I really like the look of the Eddie Bauer, however I also fulltime and agree that the lack of storage is an issue. I looked at a 25' E.B. at Out of Doors Mart - and my drool factor really went away when they showed me the TABLE. Guess where that removable table stores? Under the bed - a sideways queen in the 25. It is suspended from the bed platform's plywood and held up by two grooved pieces of wood... It's almost impossible to get it OUT from under the bed because you're running into the side wall and the overhead cabinet, and then you have to turn the thing so that you can muscle it down the hall - then go back for the two posts. That MIGHT be less difficult with a 27, but that table is just badly thought out. It should store between the cushions of the folded up seats, and there should be brackets or something for the legs to be hidden away there too. Most of all, the table needs to be LIGHTER if it's going to be moved around all that much. Something like those roll up aluminum ones would make more sense, especially as a free-standing table wouldnt require brackets in the floor - less to trip over.
As for the lack of storage, you could still use some smaller baskets or bins and put stuff under the benches, then stack them when you folded one or more of the benches up - and get some of that storage capability back.
The things I really LIKE about the Eddie Bauer? - if you have a guest who likes to eat too many baked beans, he/she gets to sleep on the dinette with the hatch open and the screen down - preventing the methane detector from going off!
- dusting and sweeping can be done with the exhaust end of a wet dry vac - just blow all the trash out the back door!
- boondocking? the back door acts like an extra rear awning!
- I like the plexiglass they used in the overhead cabinets tremendously. The color scheme is nice too.
My plan? - win a BIG lottery
- have Airstreams named: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.... one for every mood.
Have a great day, Paula

From an Airstream dealer news letter.
27’ Eddie Bauer Airstream
One year after the debut of the first Eddie Bauer Airstream at the National RV Show in 2010, Airstream and Eddie Bauer updated this ultimate adventure travel trailer to offer an extended floor plan.
The 27’ Eddie Bauer Airstream boasts a unique sport hatch in the rear of the trailer providing easier loading and unloading of oversized equipment such as bikes and kayaks, which can then be secured in the fold-away dinette/lounge area.
The interior features Eddie Bauer-inspired décor, including maple and soapstone laminates, fossilized leaf pattern roof locker doors, quilted fabrics with contrast piping, as well as extremely durable and stain-resistant Sunbrella upholstery. The 27’ trailer can sleep four people, and its queen-size bed comes with an Eddie Bauer Goose Down duvet, pillows, and throw to provide total comfort at the end of an adventurous day. And the rear sport hatch, with its roll-down screen, creates the ultimate portal for bringing the outdoors in.

This is the same thing I saw yesterday. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you what use they made of the two additional feet.

I'm thinking the 27 will "do" it for me. The Pan American was too long, 25 EB lacking in storage, (3" wide shelf "spice rack" for a pantry)
